Rumours... 13:12 - Dec 31 with 9923 viewsbluelagos

About a party involving 19 Premier League players held before crimbo, including one who hired a jet to fly in for it.

If true, the sh1t is going to hit the fan big time.

Watch this space...

Footballers do this sh1t repeatedly because they're untouchable. Watch them get a slap on the wrist and all will be forgotten in a weeks time.

Who does Walker know at Fulham? Loftus-Cheek from the England squad, Onomah from his time at Tottenham perhaps, but I can’t see anyone else? Mind you it only takes one person to pick it up and pass it on.

Think it was Milts on Twitter saying what a surprise when PL game was called off, wondered then if he knew something.

Kyle Walker was reprimanded at least twice earlier in the year for breaking covid rules.

The sh*t will hit the fan, but what will actually change?

Even if they end up fined the maximum £10k each (I don't recall any footballers having been fined so far?), that probably works out to less than 10% of their weekly wages, so won't have the least impact on any of them.

If you take the ethics and morality out of the equation, it probably seems like a good deal to them in terms of the cost of the party. It's the equivalent of someone on minimum wage paying about £30 for a night out.

The fines desperately need to be set as a percentage of earnings, and those in high-profile positions need to be made examples of.

Didn't Kyle Walker get caught out in the first lockdown for inviting some ladies round for a 'get together.'

If this does turn out to be true then serious schizzle should come their way over and above paying out for costs incurred by the clubs, officials and staff.

If true, and the games have been called off due to players breaking the law. The clubs involved should have be made to forfeit the fixture.

Not sure who Man City were playing, but that would focus the minds of the clubs.

On your last point, I guess the club can fine the player/s 2 weeks wages. which will hurt a bit more than £10k.

I agree on your last point, but it's still a drop in the ocean to them.

When you're earning £100k+ a week, you can much more easily afford to lose two-weeks' wages than someone on minimum wage.

Imagine only taking home £115,761 as opposed to your usual monthly take-home of £230,595...

(and that's assuming that, in this example, the player in question isn't engaging in any sort of scheme designed to reduce their liability for taxation...)

I'm surprised that nobody within football hasn't come out yet to suggest that all premier league players should be vaccinated first, so they can continue to entertain us all. Selfless lot that they are.

Kyle Walker has really shown himself up for the div he is over the past year. If this is the third or fourth time I hope the FA just issue a ban for him
