But hear me out

With the likelihood of more postponement and already looking at 14 games in 50 days which I imagine will soon become 14 within 40 days

With our injuries etc. Would it be safer to write off the season in prep for next season I wonder if that may come Into the clubs thinking

I can't see our current team challenging at the top end once football resumes. We are slowly beginning to drift backwards

It'll take a good 4/5 games for returning players to get uptop match fitness etc and then we dont know how they will react to being back. Our history with returning players isn't great.

I just wonder if it might be a thought of Lambert and Evan's

I appreciate you will probably think wtf with only just being outside the top 6. But I'm just thinking realistically we know our current available squad isn't good enough and I don't know if it's worth risking the returns of those out Injured

I dont see how we are better placed though tbh

We have and have had a major problem with injuries alot worse than other clubs, i can't see this changing with the set up we have

We may if all available have a big squad, but it's who's available which is important

Some squads maybe small, but we failed to beat a charlton side who didn't even have any CB's, and we barely managed shots on target, so whilst we may have players, they aren't the best. hence I see our fall down the table continuing

hopefully im wrong, we get our strongest players back, they stay fit and we finish strongly.
But ignoring the post itself, saying we have a big squad and we should be better placed, i think is wishful thinking personally.

of all clubs, i think we are in the worse place to be dealing with a fixture pileup, our sports science/fitness etc seems to be way off the level it needs to be

And your genius solution to this is to just give up?

What about if they put a video on twitter of them dancing butt naked to the Birdie Song? Surely that would surprise you?

was that footage of the contract negotiation?

You wouldn't be surprised if our manager and owner had discussed giving up on a season that's only 18 games old?

Let's face it, they basically did that when he started in the job.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

We have the biggest and arguably best squad in the league.

IF we can get some of the injured players back we should thrive at the expense of those with less resources.

Obviously that won’t happen and Lambert will use the disruption as an excuse.

I think it would be more a case of "See where we are in 4 or 5 games time". If we're still in contention then the strongest 11 will be put out. If not, Evans may well angle for more youth, or those with contracts keeping them here longer term, to be played.
