Nixon in the Sun claiming Town and Sunderland keen on Ched Evans, tho Preston lead the race to sign him. Personally their welcome to him.

If it's Nixon claiming it, we'll have been nowhere near him. No idea why people still cite him as a reliable source.

In any case, Ched Evans should be allowed nowhere near this club. Or a football club with some self-respect.

Didn’t his conviction get quashed and changed to not guilty?

Rapist is an absolute term. He was found not guilty and therefore not a rapist.

Personally I don't like that approach to judicial decisions. The final decision of the courts was that he was not guilty of rape and if we trust the judicial system to any degree, then we should accept that.

If we were to pick and choose the verdict that we liked best, regardless of the final decision then those that suffered msicarriages of justice would never be able to escape from the failures of the system. The Guildford Four would forever be 'former' terrorists, Barry George would always be the 'former' killer of Jill Dando.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Probably sensible not to be use that term. As others have posted, he was eventually found not guilty at the retrial.

Can we still refer to him as a morally corrupt scumbag?

Yes! Us being even remotely interested in him reflects just how low we have sunk.

Dropping 30k to get witnesses to come forward with a ridiculous technicality to get him off is a bit more than standing by him.

And his father in law.

If someone treated my daughter like that I certainly wouldn’t be paying witnesses huge sums to try and get him off on a technicality.

If Town sign him then that’s me done.

Will you accept 'disgusting predatory piece of sh1t who's only escaped a criminal record on penalties that even Joey Barton thinks is a scumbag'?

If it helps, it's an Alan Nixon link. So we're probably not interested in him.
He's probably seen the odd 'should we sign that disgusting predatory piece of sh1t' threads that surface on here like farts in a stagnant pond every so often.

The interesting thing about Barry George is that he SHOULD have been imprisoned, just not for the murder of Jill Dando.

One court found him guilty, the other didn’t. Hardly great!

He’s done his time in that respect, so don’t think should be considered if considering employing him.

However, what should be considered is his disciplinary actions leading to his sacking. We already have Norwood in that kind of controversial mould.

26th April 1999, the date of Dando's murder I was on a Belfast pub crawl, was in a pub not far from Windsor Park stadium and was struck at the sadness of the locals at this news. At that time I would have thought the average Belfast citizen would have seen enough death to be immune to the news of the death of a TV personality.

We don't need any more strikers. We need our midfield to actually pass the ball to them.

At least I think that's how football is played. It's been so long I think I've forgot!
