Anyone else with a sense of impending doom?

A week and a bit without a single Teams meeting has been bliss!

Same here, luckily only have 4 Zoom calls tomorrow. The 5 day break from constant Zoom meetings was glorious as it does get very draining. Also have millions of emails and slack messages to catch on.

However I am very grateful that my job has not been impacted by the pandemic and I have a regular salary coming in. So everything else are 1st world problems imho.

That reminds me, I have to shave again. Wonder if i can just wear my mask for the call instead.

That said, i have my greenscreen set up now and am looking forward to having battlestar galactica playing behind me.

What is shaving?

For the first time in my 50+ years on this planet, I am sporting a full beard.
I'm growing to like it, but not sure the missus is so keen.

Back to work tomorrow too, never thought I would go into the new year still working from home when we started the first lockdown in March last year.

It will be a bit of a concern as to how things will progress... I can’t see any of my travel/tourism clients getting going again for a while yet - London sightseeing tours anyone?

As yet undecided as to whether I can work from the office or need to decamp and work from home again. Yasmin will be back at school at least until the next u-turn anyway.

London sightseeing tours, or a variation of was my business until last March. Can't see me doing that again in the next 2 years if I'm honest, which probably means another 2 years of humdrum try to pay the bills jobs.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

i always feel bad after christmas going back to work. I hate January at the best of times but this year will be worse. I don't go back until 11th Jan after having shared parental leave since 13th November so its going to be much worse feeling.

Still i appreciate having a job atm.

Ah such is the life... Not done a strike of paid work since 24th March - furlough, garden leave then fat redundancy package.

Right now I am rather jealous of your impending doom. I'm sure that will change when the novelty of returning to work is shaken off... When / if ...

When I last spoke to my main clients, they had been planning for a Mar-May restart, with a start on the brochure design in January. That was prior to the latest strain rearing its head and tier 4 restrictions.

My littlest has a temperature so I’ve got to take him for a covid test and then not get back to work until when I’m allowed to. Will do as much as I can from home, but a massive pain not being able to get out to site

All my former colleagues going back tomorrow and I am having to suppress smugness as I retired just before Christmas. Lovely fat lump sum* too - but nowhere open to spend it (which is probably just as well!).
