Just said that Boris 'acted decisively' to close schools when the scientific evidence dictated that it was the right thing to do. Do these people actually believe the rubbish they spout?!

Honestly, yes.

But we will never know now will we?

It's been a long time since we have had someone defend the current shîte bags by invoking the imaginary performance of an imaginary government though.

Even if we ignore how utterly hollow and pathetic a "yeah but Corbyn" bit of whataboutery sounds at this point, I agree that he'd probably have done a better job. It really can't be overstated how terribly Johnson and his cabinet have done and how ill-suited they all are to handling a crisis like this.

I think it went something like this.

While munching on a particularly tasty booger and browsing an 'EU Out' Facebook page the Paz Man pondered the revelation that possibly not all brown people were bad, just so long as they were happy to hurt all the other poor and brown and Black people he wanted to see hurt.

His thoughts however were rudely interrupted by his Romanian partner to let him know King Nigel was ranting on the tele about those other bad Romanians flooding into the UK and he sure didn't want to miss that.

I take that as a compliment, because the type of low lifes you admire would definitely think I'm a dîck!

I admire you Spruce Moose for the post. I disagree vehemently with you of course, but at least you have the courage of your convictions. Not many would have said ' Honestly, yes' and meant it...

It's not a difficult call to make though. Name a more iconic duo than bungling upper class incompetence and the Conservative party.

Even if you thought that Corbyn etc. would be incredibly incompetent, it's obvious there's a clear difference in ideology which would've made a difference, not that anything can be proven either way, such is the nature of hypothetical political arguments.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I think anyone that thought about it for more than 3 seconds and that doesn't get their entire worldview from the Mail or the Express probably would have done.

The difference would be, one lot of politicians would be lead by someone that thinks,

“oh sh1t, a pandemic has started, let me get my divorce sorted, have a rest, then let’s try a bit of optimism to boost people through this, nothing really to worry about, Britain is fully prepared, and we should keep my Brexit plans on track, right....everyone go do something, and protect Priti”

The other lot would go, “oh sh1t, a pandemic has started, what do the pandemic plans and experts recommend?”

Please, do let us know how you concluded this.

The same working that saw him conclude that (but unable to provide any substantiating evidence for) cutting taxes for middle earners while keeping the same band for higher earners and cutting VAT would boost the economy. And that these cuts could be paid for by removing some of the current benefits and closing all libraries and selling them off.

What I find very strange, is that in times like these we don't have a cross party emergency cabinet acting in the full national interest. The same could be said of the Brexit saga.
