Thoughts on Baggott turning down deal 14:07 - Jan 6 with 1651 viewsMrTown

As I said a couple of days ago, seen him play for the yuffs, he's ok at the moment nothing more, got a long long way to go.

As someone rightly pointed out, if he weren't Indonesian with a bit of social media hyped, just be another lad in the academy, hasn't done anything on the pitch yet to warrant 'hype'.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

Not bothered and can't blame him in the slightest.

Looked average when I have seen him and the social media hype should be taken with a bucket of salt. He's an Indonesian U19 player FFS.

He's obviously got ability, but so have most that youth team, I guess he thinks he can learn more under the management of a club at a higher level and maybe he will, as well as make a few quid too.

How many of these academy players that leave us at 16/17/18 go onto greater things elsewhere?

RIP Sir Bobby

I thought he was superb v Fulham in the youth cup game.

Still a long way to go, think this is just agent talk at the moment as wants a better deal than we usually offer and has admirers elsewhere.

Wouldn't worry too much about it for now

Shocking first half, but then so did most of them.

He's obviously very comfortable on the ball, which is often his downfall. He plays centre back for a reason!

RIP Sir Bobby

Indeed, a public negotiation of this type is hardly a rare occurrence.

I started to type 'is that what happens when Gav's contract is up for renewal?' but changed my mind.

And I'm told he hasn't turned it down but has asked if he can consider it. There is already an agreement for a third year.

Thoughts? I think Phil's trolling us to get site hits up .

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Think the national media have missed worded it. From what Andy warren said in EADT he is still in negations rather than turned a contract down completely.

I think he showed potential in Gillingham game by keeping a clean sheet against experience strikers. disappointment would be him going know would be on a tribunal fee, which basically pays off how much town have spent on him in resources. by him going on a pro deal he would be able to go on transfer fee.

It's transfer fee now as he is full time scholar

If we aren't bothered about keeping those coming through the academy that we want to keep then we might as well pack the academy in.

Out of interest, how often have you watched him?
