Woolfenden interview quite telling 22:23 - Jan 9 with 4533 views | tractorboy1978 | Clearly frustrated and biting his tongue a bit. Has a dig about instructions from the sidelines, poor goals conceded and people needing to stop talking and start doing it on the pitch. [Post edited 10 Jan 2021 8:17]

Woolfenden interview quite telling on 22:58 - Jan 9 with 3549 views | unstableblue | Whilst clearly Lambert is not coaching effective systems of play into the team to fall back onto when they’re low in confidence, under the cosh or under par BUT, I really did not take The Wolf’s comments as anti management and the sidelines. It was a statement that the players are just on it or working hard enough, but grabbing the game or being responsible. As stated earlier energy, urgency, and endeavour seem to have left the club during Marcus’ reign. Manager has a massive part to play, but buck stops with the players when the whistle goes

Woolfenden interview quite telling on 23:11 - Jan 9 with 3411 views | Plums | TBH, I can’t believe they’ve put that out. It’s clearly not a happy ship and this just throws more fuel on the smouldering discontent. It’s not Woolfy’s fault, he was just answering the questions but I’m amazed anyone thought it was a good interview to publish. Pleased they did though...

That interview alone just screams to me that this club needs intervention now, before it slides out of control into further oblivion. Players are not happy. Surely Lambert can't be. And still Evans allows it to continue.

Your right about Lambert , obviously he is still ill from COVID but he hasn’t looked happy all season and just going through the motions at the moment. The club needs a new spark right now as players are good enough if moulded correctly.

Evans allows it to continue because he’s perfectly content with the way things are. If he wasn't he’d do something about it. As for Woolfenden, heard it all before. The pattern for the club seems to be do the minimum trailing around the pitch aimlessly after the opposition, shake hands and have a good laugh with the winners, PL or his stooge then waffle out a few excuses after the game, followed by this weeks player of choice ambling out for a few ‘we must do better’ mumblings. I presume the players draw lots for the task. They really don’t need to bother. [Post edited 10 Jan 2021 8:31]

Woolfenden interview quite telling on 09:22 - Jan 10 with 2301 views | GlasgowBlue | Was Woolfie even on the pitch yesterday? I can’t recall hearing his name once. That’s our preferred central defence paring who played yesterday. You’d expect the pair of them to have had the Swindon strikers in their pockets. Instead they had the freedom to play in our defensive third of the pitch.

He literally said they should ignore the instructions from the sidelines and play their own game! He also made comments about shouting in the dressing room that seemed to imply that it was being ignored and not helping

Thanks for pointing us to the IFollow video - it's far more revealing than the EADT edit... Obviously more clarity and effective coaching needed - is that suddenly going to happen under PL?

Fecking hell, he sounds like he's hit rock bottom. Like others I'm kind of amazed they've put this out. [Post edited 10 Jan 2021 10:03]

I'm struggling to think of any time I've seen an interview with a player that's like this.

Maybe the only way we can see the back of Lambert now is a players revolt. I hate it when that happens but at the moment I'd take anything. You could see from the studio Cook would jump at the role. SB

It's just so frustrating. This season can still be saved if we bring someone in pronto but he just won't do it until it's way too late. Cook or Cowleys (I'd probably go for the latter). They won't be available forever.

I took it as being that players can’t just rely on instructions from the side and need to take some responsibility themselves and play.

He sounds completely dejected and as if he and many other players are giving up. I love how he’s about to go on one, thinks about it, laughs, then goes back to media training and says the lines he should say to please all

Bizarre comments for a footballer and completely taking away the need for a highly paid manager. It shows no faith in PL
