Starmer on school closures.....same old, same old....just say what you think people want to hear at any moment in time...vacuous tosser!

"No, I didn't want schools to close but......."

“I dont think there is an argument for opening up”.....(free movement of people).

That’s a very clear position.

You really are acting incredibly weird about Starmer.

That's a perfectly reasonable thing to say, unless you are trying to claim that he actually wants schools to close.

It's like you have a schoolboy crush on him and thus have to deflect away that.

Just had enough of trained political spin a long time ago....what he should have been saying is what we all knew well before Christmas. Namely that as much as we would all like to see schools staying open, the evidence from teachers and others was that they would have to close.

How is that any different to the quote you didn't like?

"No, I didn't want schools to close but......."

That's basically exactly what you've just said he should have said.

He was saying that today to Marr....he should have been saying it weeks ago when it wasn't what people wanted to hear if he wants to pretend to have leadership credentials.

I would like Starmer to say now what he would over the next two months if he were PM faced with the current situation. Lay out his plan and contingencies he'd put in place if cases don't fall e.g if by January 23rd this hasn't happened then I'd do this etc. Then we can all see whether his ideas may have been better or worse than what happens.

He did a good job of supporting the gas engineers and their rights as workers. So it’s frustrating that he ignored the teachers and their union.

But I get the feeling his focus group doesn’t like teachers.

I wouldn't keep pushing this one mate. He was right. It's very easy to find within 10 seconds after googling if you want to see it.

Well as my Google skills aren't as good as yours then my best bet is that it is about a pretty distasteful image of an alien clinging to the stature of liberty. If this is the case then I would merely have been pointing out that the use of the star could be to symbolise the Israeli state and/or Jews.

When you consider that GB's starting point in his latest ongoing obsession was this;
"Yeah but you're the bloke who once said on here that he couldn't understand why Jewish people, groups and organisations around the word use the Star of David as their symbol because they are copying the Israeli flag "
...then you will have to forgive my seeking some context and clarity.

Edit 1....for GB's archivist was to convert 'of to 'if.'
Edit 2....removed 2 repeated words.
Edit 3....remembered to update edit list.
