Is track and trace still a thing? 20:36 - Jan 10 with 3156 views | SitfcB | Or have they stopped doing that now seeing as the numbers are so high? I’m isolating now, until next Sunday, after being in contact with someone who’s tested positive. I had a test yesterday which was negative. Should I expect a phone call or are people just isolating off their own accord now which can only be done if you know the person that has tested positive! [Post edited 10 Jan 2021 20:40]

It was just at the Copdock drive thru site. Test was at 16:00 yesterday got the text 16:00 today. A colleague who’s also off had a test Friday morning in Norwich at 8am and got his text result at 20:00 the same day.

It was done by the Facters' Push A Stick Up Your Nose Testing Service. One of my highly-skilled operatives pushes a stick up your nose. They then go off for a cuppa, and flip a coin to decide if you were positive or negative. A world-beating service brought to you for a very reasonable £67.23*. Terms and Conditions Apply. *Basic Service. Additional charges apply for exclusive use of a new nose stick. Also note that the £67.23 is a weekly charge levied for a minimum of 256 weeks. Cancel by visiting our administrative hub on Heard Island.

Is track and trace still a thing? on 20:57 - Jan 10 with 2465 views | StochesStotasBlewe | Expect a phone call every 48 hours. Our experience tbf was very good after positive tests. May be different as you have had a negative result. Appreciate that is not the case in many instances though.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

That was a quick turn-around. At least that way you can get on with things once you know. You've obviously been in contact with someone positive since then, or does it take a few days to show up possibly? I went to a drive-through in Bury and it was almost 3 days wait for the results (which were negative), but I suppose they could have been swamped under that week.

The last time I was in contact with the person that tested positive was Thursday. He had a test Friday and got the result yesterday meaning I formally had to isolate.

I thought because I have been in contact with someone who has tested positive I’d receive some sort of call/text.

Misunderstood your post. Assumed you had been notified via NHS App. Wife was contacted that way but by the time she was contacted she only had to isolate for 4 days. Funny thing is I also have the App and I had no warning which was strange as she is in wheel chair she never goes anywhere without me. She wasn't told to get a test and other members of household only had to isolate if she showed symptoms.

When they call they ask if you take responsibility for those in your house, perhaps your wife took responsibility for you?

Is track and trace still a thing? on 22:00 - Jan 10 with 2222 views | George25 | The whole thing broken. In the lead up to Christmas I got message 5 days into my supposed isolation period that I had to isolate for 5 days. I got tested and was negative. But if I was positive I would of been passing the virus around during a period where I should of been told to isolate.

The sticks need to be more fully inserted. Our operatives have a selection of hammers to help with this delicate procedure.

I'd thought it meant I could have test in the morning, take in a matinee in the afternoon, and go to a roller disco at night?
Is track and trace still a thing? on 09:16 - Jan 11 with 1834 views | jontysnut | I'm no statistician but given the high infection rate in parts of the country I'm surprised that a bigger chunk of the population isn't isolating after contact
