I’m comparing Norwich and Ipswich - clearly we’re insignificant to each other currently.
Delia and Evans have one thing in common - a lack of football knowledge - or am I being unfair to Delia.
So what choices have Norwich made that have made the difference? Is it mainly the appointment of Webber - who had full control of player appointments, working with the manager. Look at Huddersfield after he left too.
Farke has clearly implemented his style of play, which took a little while (still waiting on Lambert) but is now engrained in the club. The clear difference with Lambert is his very recent work with Dortmund, his success at his previous club. Clearly Farke is Norwich’s version of Wagner.
Evans on the other hand has picked managers that have had success at promotion but not necessarily recently! Just really badly researched decisions with lite versions of successful clubs.
We 100% need our version of Webber, with an ability to question the owner and the manager.
Oh and a new Manager of course. Think the playing staff can find another gear, plus there’s enough of them.

It's not just Webber, they had McNally before him as well - and they give their Chief Exec responsibility to run the club and they bring in someone with the right skillset

We are in a position where we effectively have Evans as a part time CEO, where every decision has to go back through him

And I’m aware I’m going over old ground for the forum. Just feels like there’s a bit hold the control freak/ spoilt child in Evans behaviour.

We seem to go in cycles as a fanbase...

'Evans needs to be seen'.
'Evans needs to speak to us'.
'Evans needs to be more hands on'.
'Evans needs to be more transparent and let us know what his plans are'.
'Evans needs to know what is going on at the Club'.
.........

'Evans needs to appoint someone with a football background to run things'.
'Evans needs to appoint a Webber-type character'.
'Evans needs to go'.
'Evans has lost interest'.
'Evans is a Chelsea fan'.
'Evans should sell up'.

He has made some poor appointments, of which there is no doubt. But a lot of that (not all) is with the benefit of hindsight. That he is loyal to his managers is not necessarily a bad thing - some owners/clubs are far too trigger happy. We could have a much worse owner, but that is not to say that he is perfect by any means.

Ready! Steady! Cook!

It's also costcutting — when in fact you need specialists in key positions and, if you don't, you'll get found out. There are are clubs below L1 that have more sophisticated structures than ITFC. It just shouldn't be like this — it's a disgrace.

I was stood next to Stuart Webber boarding a delayed flight and we chatted about football and recruitment. From speaking to him and listening to Darragh Macantaony on hard truth. shows how organised and thorough they are in recruiting. It makes ITFC recruitment sound like a circus.

Delia actually supports Norwich, they have a board that has a care and love for the club and the Norwich community and will do what it takes to make Norwich a success.

We have a Chelsea supporting events pimp who resents having bought us (Sheepy and Bowden conned him, in his own words more or less), and a PE teacher running our club.

That's a big fn difference.

....a Head of Athletic Performance and Sports Science at the end of a phone line if we happen to need him.

What more could you ask for!?

What a club.

Evans has got that "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated" vibe -- you can see why he's not overly emotionally invested in the club if that's the case....

You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....

Eventually a dull, small-time, half-&rsed, fag-packet mentality leads you to where we are today. It's shocking.

Don’t forget Dave Bowman, too. Hired three managers ago in a fake Director of Football role. Or maybe he’s a scout? Who knows. Shambles of a club.
