Transfer revenue since 2007 15:56 - Jan 13 with 818 viewsKeaneish

If Transfermarket.com is accurate and from a quick look through, it looks pretty concise, this is the amount of revenue we’ve made from transfers compared to what we’ve spent...

Expenditure 07-21 : €37.913m
Income 07 - 21 : €50.52m

While we all knew there was under investment, did anyone know we’d profited from transfer fees since ME came in?

Yes, but these don't include loan fees and undisclosed.

But even then, it's not a profit as the club continues and has always run at a loss. Any profit from the transfer fees has gone to cover the annual debt and/ or invested in player wages (apparently).

Fag packet (excludes loan and any undisclosed fees)

Overall net transfer spend - £27,290,000
Overall net transfer income - £44,250,000

Profit of £16,960,000.

However, remember, excludes loan fees and undisclosed as well are other sundries and although the profit looks healthy - the club has run at a loss for a long time.

Yeah I know the money is absorbed into running costs but I was surprised we’d made that much profit to alleviate the P+L. I wonder how much Playford Road has increased in value since ME invested in it too?

Without knowing the figures, I'd have thought that was fairly obvious? A good number of largeish fees coming in and what is our record transfer during that time, Lee Martin?

I'm surprised it's that close, to be honest. Across 14 seasons that's about £880k a year, so would have covered roughly 15% of our normal annual losses.

I was never sure where the spend netted out given the Keane era and the frugal McCarthy years.

Paul Taylor, I believe.

Leadboots?

Its Leadboots and David Norris at the same fee, reportedly. Evans took over in December’07; Norris signed in January.

Lee Facking Martin, ridiculously overpriced, tw@tting about in his fancy coloured boots. Later to return to knock us out of the EFL trophy with a last minute winner.

Pretty much sums up the Evans era.
