If only!
Complete waste of space.
An out an out striker being asked to play as a wide attacking player. Defending not his skillset....still manages to provide an assist last week and quite a few more last season.
I don't get the crap Jackson gets.
He's suffered being played out of position in the same way Sears has. Most odd.
Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

I like Jackson and with the right manager if played properly would be an asset

A striker that can’t finish, perfect!
What’s his games to goals ratio over last 12 months?
1 in 10? If that.
It’s not he’s playing centre back!
He’s just not very good.
RIP Sir Bobby

Over that period where is he being asked to play?
I'm not suggesting that he's a world class striker but he's got blistering pace....which our manager singularly fails to utilise by asking him to play in his natural position.
His goals to games ratio isn't going to be great....if it were better he wouldn't have been playing at this level for so long.
Maybe we should start to use our players strengths more?

Good he's a sulker,
I see him as more of a trudger a la Ian Marshall. Like him, Jackson slumps when the ball is not played through or an attack breaks down, but comes alive when necessary.

EDIT: Sorry, misunderstood your gist.

I really dont think he's that quick. He couldnt get away from his fullback all last week, he also very rarely gets in behind bearing in mind most of the cbs in this league run like they're pulling a trailer. He's not really crucial to the way we play but he's one you think could come back to haunt us.

Think he's scared to push and go though, possibly something to do with the coaching?

Well, Bournemouth and Peterborough aren't exactly mugs when it comes to recruitment, so if they're both interested...

He's very quick, I don't get where this idea that he isn't comes from. Most of the time last week the service to him was ball into feet and facing up to the full back, it's not ideal conditions to be able to get a run on him. And he doesn't get in behind because we rarely play passes in behind teams, we knock it about in front of them allowing them to get men behind the ball.

hes quick, but there isn't much of a brain in the head. he doesn't use this pace to get round his marker, he runs INTO the man time after time

Give me the stats, I’m intrigued!
1 in 10 I reckon.
He’s not very good.
Offers nothing, literally nothing.
Ever heard of Wikipedia?
He has scored 16 goals in 85 games for us. That just slightly worse than 1 goal in 5. Not great but certainly no where near 1 in 10. You also have to take into account he was asked to make the step up from LG2 to the Championship in his first season and ended up playing for the worst team in our history that struggled to create any goals for the strikers.
By contrast Sears ratio is 1 in 6, hawkins 1 in 17 & Drinnan has yet to score for us.
Happy to help.
