Just to add to this.

We won't be looking to reduce workers rights, says man who wrote a book arguing for reducing workers rights.

5 days? It was openly a major objective of vote leave. To free employers from the shackles of workers' rights legislation.

I remember when this was brought in by the EU and my employer at the time said it was optional legislation, called us into a meeting and said if you want to be bound by it raise your hand, if you don't you have opted out of it.

I had to opt out of it 10 years ago when I worked for Domino’s as I did long hours out of choice.

Of course I was the mouthy one who asked how we are protected if you then force us to work these hours. Luckily my manager was cool, even if the franchisees and overarching company is an exploitive pizza propaganda outlet.

When the country is bankrupt some people might struggle to get 8 hours of work let alone 48 hours!

It's definitely worth mentioning more than once so no foul.
Are they going to introduce Employee Fines?
That's when the employer deducts money from your wages because you didn't provide him with enough profit.

There will be a constant erosion of these things, paternity and maternity leave will be another but we will be able to have bananas whatever shape we want now.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
