Daughter recieved her new XR yesterday but is showing NO SERVICE even if it's connected to WiFi?

changed and reset the new SIM card that came with it

but still no change? any ideas?

it didn't work with old SIM card in which is why O2 suggested putting new one in?

I’m by no means an expert, but I had the same. O2 couldn’t work it out either, it just didn’t like it for some reason. They stuck a new sim in and it worked.

I’m by no means an expert, but I had the same. O2 couldn’t work it out either, it just didn’t like it for some reason. They stuck a new sim in and it worked.


We have the same problem with the old and new SIM card?

Ahh, not the same as me. My sim just didn’t work in new phone, but they replaced for me.

Perhaps it’s a handset issue then? I’m no expert

I’ve had every generation of iPhone since they came out in 2007 and have never had a battery issue.

I’ve had every generation of iPhone since they came out in 2007 and have never had a battery issue.


I’ve only had 4 (always at least 2 generations behind current latest) but I’ve similarly never experienced any battery issues

Might sound a daft question, but is the SIM tray sitting entirely flush with the phone? I ask because I had this after I'd replaced the screen on mine, and there was a *tiny* bit of grit stopping the tray going 100% back in, so it wasn't making the connection.

I’ve had every generation of iPhone since they came out in 2007 and have never had a battery issue.


Happy for you, but I've only ever had 2 apple devices (1 iPhone & 1 laptop) & had battery problems with both of them.

Laptop battery was dead on arrival & had to be replaced by them. Early generation iPhone (4?) battery on full charge only lasted 4 hours before it was empty.

Try going to Settings, Mobile Data, Network Selection and manually choose your network (rather than automatic) see if that works/helps
