Incredible has he ever bowled a better spell the control he shows and his run up now it’s so smooth to think they tried to change his action .. a true legend of sport.
James Anderson on 08:30 - Jan 23 with 2413 views | 26_Paz | Absolutely incredible. I remember seeing him at lords 2 or 3 years ago and thinking savour it as he won’t be around much longer ... how wrong was I! Incredible longevity

James Anderson on 08:40 - Jan 23 with 2394 views | jimsymBLUE | More worryingly is that our spinners still haven't got a wicket between them. I wonder when the last time an innings in Sri Lanka passed without a spinner doing so, pretty damning. Leach looks pretty tame, but hopefully can improve as the winter progresses. Bess is poor, i'd be very disappointed not to pop him all over the place in club cricket. *Edit...Wasim & Waqar in 94 apparently [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 8:53]

Let’s see how the Sri Lankan’s bowl on this surface first. Yes, this pitch is near on two days worn, so they’ll have that advantage. Until both sides have batted it’s difficult to judge. However, you’d say Sri Lanka are in the driving seat having runs on the board.

The number 11 looks to have time to play, this track is flat and remain so at least until day 4. Be nice to see our openers dig in, get through the new ball and we should be okay. Mark Wood deserves credit here as well as Jimmy, really run in hard again today.

Sibley and Crawley both really needed time at the crease after failing last time round. Not boding well for India. Especially given Bairstow is already unselected for first two tests.

The main man is returning though. Really looking forward to the India series. Home school is going to be starting in the middle of the night.

Is it similar time difference to Sri Lanka? That’s a good plan with home schooling, would get bonus points from my wife if I get my son’s done before she’s up.

I think it's exactly the same time difference. 5.5 hrs.

Problem is for those of us wanting to watch it..... Disney! has the rights to the series so not Sky or BT. Disney + £5.99 via the India Hotstar app if you want to watch it.
James Anderson on 13:36 - Jan 23 with 2133 views | IpswichKnight | I thought Wood bowled well too, Sri Lankan batsman really didn’t fancy the short stuff. Anderson though was on a different level! Can’t see Sibley scoring a run at the moment and you can bet India are watching and will start with Spin against him.

Burns will be back. It's a question do they stick with Sibley or Crawley.

They will all play, it will go back to: Burns Sibley Crawley We have no choice as they have not picked JB for India. Only there batting options we have are Root at 4, Lawrence at 5, Stokes at 6 and Buttler at 7.

It’s a big call. There is a strong case now for him to be in an all time XI however.

The best cricket of all time has to be an all rounder, someone who was both a world class batsmen & bowler. For me it would have to be Sir Garfield Sobers.

I think this is a good argument, but then difficult to ignore individuals whose stats take them away from the rest, Bradman, Murali, Warne. Mind you, Warne could throw the bat around to good effect when in the mood. We’ve been lucky of late to have Anderson, Cook and Broad move into all time conversation (not GOATs) and Stokes is well and truly on the way there as well.
