Lol, the 2nd competent L1 right back we've drummed out of this club. This time so we can bring in another midfielder, whilst our senior centre half plays at right back. Deranged.

Who actually cares though, JD has gone, PL obv didn't like him at Villa or here, as it goes I think JD has been hard done by not getting a run in the team but if a manager doesn't like you you are pretty much fu*ked!

Maybe if a new manager is appointed he will look at JD's contract situation and think he's worth hanging onto but until that happens might as well get over it cos writing posts on how well he played isn't gonna make a difference to PL which in turn does not affect Ipswich Town F.C as things stand.

No surprise really is it, he should have been playing right back as he has the energy and Chambers back in the centre .

Ah. Paul Taylor syndrome.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

We’ll need a Right Back in the summer, is he worth looking at..?

Knowing us, we’ll release him, he’ll sign for Fleetwood, we’ll buy him back in January for £750k

JD was the subject of some pretty harsh critcism both online and at matches: a guy sat near to me gave him 'dogs abuse' whenever he even touched the ball, irrespective of the outcome, and, sadly, he wasn't a lone voice.

It also seemed that he was the victim (If that's the right word) of PL's preconceptions about him from their time together at Villa.

In all honesty, he was solid and reliable without ever being a star performer - was he ever given a decent run in the team to buld his confidence however?

IMO certainly up to L1 standard and possibly higher.

Hurst played him centre back and he didn't look comfortable. But when he was switched to right back in a game when out right back got injured he looked pretty good and that was in line championship. Not been given a chance by lambert. I don't understand why as he seems to gives the likes of chambers, nsiala and judge chance after chance and they never play well

At least he might be available for our next manager next season.
