So you react to what you see as an over reaction with that. Ok. Illers has a point doesn't he? Larking about publicly online a few hours after losing the latest match isn't the best public relations, and yes, the club could well be in the sh1t, which makes it all less amusing. If a player doesn't give a crap about Town, they could at least have enough respect to keep it down a bit. That's not unreasonable, especially for a player who's been out and about drink drinking whilst representing the club. Take note, Illers isn't the only one on this thread to see it that way if you want to take a swipe at them too. [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 22:34]

Or would you rather they kept heads down and fcking grew up, and a pair of boll0cks on the pitch Whole lot can fck themselves |
Wrong target mate. Short term problem: Lambert Long term problem: Evans Norwood is a decent enough league one striker. Give him some service and someone up front with him and he'd be fine.

Yep not disagreeing, if fit, and tactics were ok, he’d score a few, need shtload of chances I might add. However, if he put as much time in getting/keeping himself fit as other aspects of his life he might have achieved so much more than an unfit league 1 player. And I can say all this with absolute confidence of knowing what he’s like personally, and how he spends the majority of his time when not at training

Norwood on twitter getting all excited about the Masksd Singer on 22:02 - Jan 23 by SuperCoops | I agree with Illy's sentiment. It smacks off the players not giving much of a toss about the situation at a time you'd hope they would be doing as little as possible to, at least, look like they care. The fans are massively unhappy, the club knows that, the players know that. You would hope they wouldn't want to stoke the ill feeling towards the club, and indirectly them, and not do things that give the impression they're not bothered. Fine, enjoy your favourite TV programme, but don't plaster it on social media. As Illy suggests, not a good look. |
He's a second choice striker at a 3rd Division Football Club, not the Ambassador to the f$#@ing United Nations.

How many games has he managed this season? How many games has he managed since he decided he was a wrestler? How many games has he managed since he decided the drink-driving laws didn’t apply to such a finely tuned athlete? He’s an unfit, self important, confrontational slob who can ‘do a job’ when he can be arsed. What a complete mess we are if he’s the bright spark. [Post edited 23 Jan 2021 23:09]

Do you not see your team or club that importantly then? If we're "only a little 3rd division side", why are we all getting so upset about our club? We're only Ipswich, we're not important anymore to ourselves?

No. It's a football team. It's not my life. I've spent 10 months trying to do my job in almost impossible circumstances, and my son can't get a job having worked hard to get a First from a good University. So Norwood posting about The Masked Singer is of less concern to me than many things. Ipswich losing used to kill my mood for a couple of days, but now, my mood is generally low, and Ipswich have disappointed me for several years. I don't think I'm the only person who has reached that point.

Exactly. I have no insight into JN's behaviour outside of what I see on the pitch. He's a fackin bad example, sweary, little oik. Good! I think he's a cult hero if he can play a fooking few games ffs. If he can't get fit fook him. Little twonk paid plenty and failing, cos the team's success is the thing. I'll gladly take a" swipe" at anyone who's view is similar or shared with Illiers! Who the hell are any of you to say how a person should behave after a loss, win or draw for that matter, he irrespective of being a footballer is an individual just like any of us and will have a different way of coping with things, maybe he should sit there and dwell on it and not release his frustration, just because someone is enjoying themselves doesn't mean they are not hurting!!

Speculating over whether or not it’s Stacey Solomon dressed as a sausage on a Saturday night variety show, isn’t a sign of “not giving a crap about Town”. We’re in lockdown and unable to meet up with friends and relatives. Having some banter on social media is one of the few outlets people have for a group chat with our mates. I’m hurting that Town lost. I’m hurting that I can’t work or do anything about earning any money whilst we are locked down. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to post some silly music video on TWTD or start a lighthearted thread about fictional countries. Norwood didn’t even play yesterday. There’s nothing he could have done about yesterday’s result. Regardless, he’s a young bloke living hundreds of miles away from his home town, unable to go out and socialise on a Saturday night, letting off a bit of steam.

Norwood didn't even play in the game. I could maybe understand people's annoyance a bit if he'd played and been rubbish, but I'm not sure why he should be 'dwelling' or 'coping' about something he had no involvement with. Why are people even following/reading his posts if it bothers them so much?
