Mostly gone next season, whether Lambert’s here or not, whether we get promoted or not.

a better coach in charge could do something with this team. Let's not forget that players like Doz, Wolf, Downes, Nolan and Edwards have played decently in the Championship (Edwards was the best performer under Hurst imho)

Here is where we need the help -

Goal Keeper - Holy can do a job for us but there are better.
Right back - We've seen what KVY can do, but can he get fit and stay fit? We need cover here and Donacien was perfectly good cover.

Left back - We need an intervention here, Kenlock is cover at best, he has not really shown any improvement or decline in 3 seasons.

Centre Defence - Chambers will need replacing. Toto is not hopeless in terms of general ability but his lunges are reason enough to keep him on the bench. We need a big tall beggar who can work well with Wolfie and not routinely make mistakes that keep the fullbacks on a leash

Midfield - We need a competent anchor or holding MF, someone who can do the ugly stuff well - basically Skuse's replacement at this stage. This will allow Downes (if he stays) and Doz (if he stays) more of an enterprising role in the middle.

Flanks - Left side needs to be Edwards for me - although typically played on the right, he's been a shot of life on that sleepy side of the pitch the few times he's played there.

Right side - Again, likely Edwards - though he can't play both sides. Like the full backs, our winger position need sorting out badly.

Stirker (10) - This is where I would experiment with Nolan - possibly deep like an AMC or someone on the edge of the box to release #9. I even think Bishop could make a case for this role in all honesty.

(9) - I don't rate Norwood particularly, and Jackson does better with a partner. Sears is showing signs of wear and tear, and Drinan is not inspiring. Without the money to go out and land a striker though, we surely have a younger striker who can play deep and thrive off of the support of an established #10.

Either way, we have the players to get promoted and survive championship relegation, if we had a manager who could motivate, adapt and cultivate our young players. Right now we're seeing youngsters in a high pressure situation where they can't make mistakes - not a great mental position for a developing mind.

Lamberts coaching/man management is the issue; but senior players have misfired on 17:52 - Jan 24 with 417 viewsunstableblue

At this club for years

To your suggestion you need a blend of experienced staff and youth.

Chambers and Ward started the season really really well, solid, getting forward. They are now bang out of form.

Frustrating exchanges on the board yesterday- yes Lamberts is the main problem. But to not call out that shockingly bad performance from our captain is ridiculous. Just not acceptable.

Atrociously. how well have our U23/reserve sides done in cups over many seasons.

There's quality in amongst them, but not wholesale.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
