What's the solution? 10:01 - Jan 27 with 819 viewsAYACCA

Let's say a twtd poster takes over as manager today, how do you fix the problems we're having?

1) Create a poll

2) Let finger hover over abuse button

3) Negotiate how many hobnobs it would take to reinstate our illustrious leader.

....perhaps Lambert treats the club like we treat the TWTD forum.

If he sees something he doesn't like, he just puts it on ignore hoping it will go away eventually.

Starting with a basic assumption that there will be no new players and the tightest of budgets:

1) Persuade Butcher, Mills and Burley to come and do some defensive coaching/inspiration sessions.

2) Try to get the midfielders/wide men to run at the opposition more.

3) Raise the tempo. Particularly throw-ins.

4) Play with more than one up top. Probably a basic 4-4-2.

5) Practice set pieces.

6) Hire Kieron Dyer as my assistant to get the fans onside.

But then, I know little about football, never having played at Big Clubs.

Lambert has already tried more or less all of this.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Sack lambert
Nicely ask Sheepy to take over day to day running of club
Sheepy to appoint DoF
Sheepy and DoF appoint new manager
Sheepy invites new board member's
Complete review of medical staff/procedures
ME retires to a far corner never to be seen or heard, there to pay bills and provide finance only

Like Lambert should, I'd quit because I'm not a competent person to manage a football club.

Not seen much evidence of 2, 3, or 5.

Edit: Plus his alternative to 4 does not appear to be much of an improvement.

All sounds sensible to me!
I'd like to try with 433/4231 (we've been calling playing 451 and calling it 433) as I think that gets the best out of our young midfielders, however we'll need more progressive full backs.
Try desperately to get rid of Nsiala, Huws, Judge, Sears.
Cancel Bennetts loan and maybe McGuiness, not that they're bad just not much better than the young players we already have in their positions.
Move Chambers back to the middle.
Try to sign a young attacking full back who can play both sides.
Explain to the wide forwards it's the full back's job to put in the crosses, they need to be finding space between defenders and get in the box

We all know he should, but would you walk away with 4 years left on your contract especially in the current climate? I do wish both him and ME would sit down and decide on a settlement. This can’t be allowed to continue, it’s becoming a nonsense.
