Nice short video bidding farewell to York City's old ground:

not sure what the fuss is about, their new place has loads of character and a cineworld next door.

All these old grounds going makes me sad.

The character of them and memories for the home and away fans stay with you.

Can you imagine if we done this at this current time, it would be full of Lambert moments.

That last bit is probably unfair on my part as the club on that side of things do things pretty well.

I'm honestly struggling to think of any built since the 90's that I rate.

MK Dons have one of the nicest stadiums' i've been to.

Does it have character, no!

Yep it’s important to hold on to those memories. Been going since mid 90s and have had more food than bad.

However, Evans has run the ground into a complete Sh*t hole. Embarrassing to walk across the car park, which in itself is a disgrace.

Sad, sad times on and off the field.

Yes, most modern grounds are more functional, but lack character. What makes most of them far worse is that they're stuck out of town (where property is cheaper) on an industrial estate, accessible only bar car & without any decent pubs or facilities apart from the inevitable fast food chains. This is not good for my "match day experience".
