Nigel Pearson 19:47 - Jan 31 with 12510 viewshype313

Seeing lots of talk on various social media platforms regarding him coming here, or at the very least been spoken too.

I've discounted him recently due to the feeling he would want a club in the PL or the very least top end Championship.

Would be quite a coup if we were able to land him, should Lambert eventually get sacked at some point this century.

Not Paul Lambert, AND a record as a competent manager, is a decent starting point.

Wouldn't be my first choice mind you.

He’d make Paul Hurst look like a pussycat....

Yep, I see you haven’t yet leaked what they offered you in the boardroom that time instead of Hob Nobs.

The horror, how far things have gone.

Indeed, my agent just laughed and shook his head.

I remember the ‘Ostrich’ interview - it pretty much coincided with the start of Leicester’s inspired great escape started at the back end of the season prior to them winning the league ( Ranieri was appointed in the close season following Pearson’s departure)

As I recall he apologised soon after, and the rest is history.

I live near Leicester, and Pearson is fondly remembered for his two spells in charge in which he forged a winning mentality. He’s a combustible character though, and I think he’s smart enough to have Evans sussed for the charlatan he is.

Hasn’t he turned us down previously?

I think he was largely responsible for building the platform on which their league title win was based. I think that sort of approach is what we need, but as I've said elsewhere, I think we're a bit too low down for him to take on. We turned him down rather than the other way around, in 2006. Interviewed poorly from what I was told having been the leading contender.
