Interesting football debate, thoughts? 08:21 - Feb 3 with 595 views | Chrisd | https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55906557 I can understand Emma Hayes point of view and she might be a terrific coach, but I do wonder if she’d get the respect from male footballers if this move ever occurred.

Interesting football debate, thoughts? on 08:40 - Feb 3 with 507 views | Garv | With how tactical the game is now I don't see why a woman couldn't be good at the job. Can't get away from the fact that the dynamic between player and manager would be interesting, though.

Interesting football debate, thoughts? on 09:03 - Feb 3 with 456 views | Parsley | I think her argument is a bit contradictory, or at least the way it is presented that there aren't opportunities whilst being linked with a job. I think there absolutely should be more female representation in football in coaching and management roles and it will happen in time but the sport should do more to promote this.
Interesting football debate, thoughts? on 09:15 - Feb 3 with 428 views | itfcjoe | She'd get respect the same way anyone else would - if she was competent and helped the team win. Players can see through managers in minutes, from their first training sessions, and players like success

Amongst supporters? Have you ever seen twitter when Alex Scott has the audacity to go on TV? I've never seen anything like it

Interesting football debate, thoughts? on 11:50 - Feb 3 with 273 views | JammyDodgerrr | It's certainly interesting. Hayes is easily one of the best managers in Women's football and apparently, is also really well thought of within Chelsea. Like you say, the dynamic with the players would be interesting but in some ways i agree with her in saying that it's not a step down in WF - the game is so tactical she could easily do a job in Mens.
