Good win. Phil still banned. 23:19 - Feb 6 with 2656 viewsSwailsey

Only a few posters (in comparison) seem to be making this point.

I’m not telling people what to feel or how to act.

But I think it’s important to make sure this is at the forefront of everyone’s minds.

The club seem to have gotten away with ignoring 2,000+ signatures and emails, and a patronisingly offensive statement from L’ON.

I would rather Phil be unbanned even if it meant us not winning another game all season - this isn’t the type of club I want Ipswich to be.

I think the way some on here carry themselves is as important as well. It works both ways. I am not happy with the way the club has been run since Mr Evans has been in charge for a number of reasons but it should not be ITFC v TWTD. Surely there is a way to put the petty arguments aside and work together to try and heal the rifts. Some sort of amnesty should be reached by whatever means. It seems to have reached an intolerable stalemate now.

Agree. But I’m not sure what the argument is here?

It seems to be Lambert against TWTD, Radio Suffolk, EADT, Town Fans.

I do not appreciate my loyalty for Ipswich being called into question here, and clearly I’ve ruffled a few feathers so I’ll leave it.

For many of us who live away from Suffolk, this website IS our connection with the club and its fans. Having said that, I don’t want us to lose games but I refuse to put any more money ITFC’s way until this ridiculous ban is lifted.

That's your right to be fair and I appreciate that this forum is a way to connect to fellow supporters. I have always liked to read other people's thoughts whilst not agreeing with the continual petty arguments. I do not always comment but sometimes I feel I have to have my say on matters. Lets hope things get sorted with this Phil ban issue. Perhaps we should nominate a mediator between the club and TWTD. Any takers?

I am not sure it's an argument either. Just thought the comment about losing the rest of the games to be a tad over the top.

No one is questioning your loyalty mate. The stakes are too high to stay in this division and leaving it needs to be the number one priority. Luckily we don't have to choose and people are debating a hypothetical. As bloots put it, Love Town, Hate Lambert.

We can support the team without backing down over Phil. Like you, i'm a bit disappointed about how quiet it has gone. TWTD has given us a great site for a long time and we owe them. To many of us this is the ITFC website. The crap template club site cannot compete.

Lambert is thin skinned and clearly knows deep down he is wrong. Evans need to consider whether TWTD is an ally or an enemy. Over the years Phil has set straight many untrue rumours and opinions about Evans/his leadership. Evans has called this one completely wrong. I understand backing your manager but in this case it's ridiculous.

Like the idea - but a mediator requires both parties to accept the need for mediation.

Not sure the club is anywhere near that atm.

I wonder who has a say on that? If it's Lambert himself what happens if Evan's overrides him and puts out an olive branch? Not saying it would happen but surely the club can see the current situation is unhealthy going forward. Something needs to happen as the acrimony is eating things up. Unless the club is in a siege mentality in which they hope to prove everyone wrong. If we do NOT go up (or at the very least get to the playoffs) I think we could become a League 3 bit player for some time.

They've made it clear they don't have any intention of doing that.

As a current season ticket holder and have been for 25 years now and still watching every match on Ifollow I would much prefer to see us win every single remaining game as would thousands of others.

Maybe just maybe when a team has been training all week they don’t want their secrets given away , Phil could not give the club the name of the snitch due to data protection , but maybe the snitch should be man enough to go to the club and say , sorry it was me , rather than let Phil take the can , it’s fairly obvious people from the club read this site , maybe just maybe if there weren’t so much negativity , if there weren’t so much abuse towards lambert then they might change their minds , in any work place situation management will always back management up

The leak was just an excuse. They don't like the site because supporters are allowed to air their views.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Of course.

Also unusual use of the word 'snitch' there.

No one snitched to anyone about anything.

Someone who works at the club chatted to one of their mates and told him the team for that day. The poster then thought people would be interested to know so posted it.

There wasn't malice involved. It was just one of those things anyone could do without giving it much thought.

The club massively over reacted over nothing and as you say PL looks to lay blame anywhere he can to deflect from himself, no matter how ridiculous that may be.

Phil, who I do not know from adam, use to run a really good fanzine which was edgy, I remember doing an article on day out out at narwich which nowadays would shock the overly sensitive.
To my mind getting banned by the club means he is doing his job, it`s not excuse to chuck in your season tickets and give up on the club.
ITFC had a good win on Saturday playing some super football, I for one intend to embrace that and see it as a positive sign that things can improve.
Evans is the main problem, Lambert just an easy target.
If the improvement/results continue Lambert deserves the backing of fans and in the real world he will get it.
