I think the problem is the club media team tell the press pack that he isn't doing the interview because of after effects of the illness, so they then can't question that on the record |
I'm not sure that that's been the case latterly, and I'm not sure that PL is using that as an excuse, he's just saying he's not doing it. I asked Lee O'Neill about the media situation and he didn't want to comment other than to reiterate they're still behind PL.
“I think the club has made it very clear that we’re supporting Paul through that process,” he said. “We can’t stop people writing what people want to write and how they want to feel, and I get that people are frustrated, but I’m not going to go into that situation or the way the club is. The club has supported Paul and the management team, and we will continue to do so.” |  | | |
