Depends if we can get agreement from Northampton to switch that game to Wednesday. If so there's no reason why we can't play tomorrow.

However, Northampton officials might be a bit distracted at the moment.

Shrewsbury do not have a mid-week game, we play Tuesday, not surprised they are happy to play tomorrow.

Reading it, looks like the hotel opened up especially for us so, if we did want to stay, they'd have to call in staff at short notice and we'd have had to wait to see if that was possible.

Maybe if the team had slept on the bus tonight with a message that this is the level the club is heading unless you buck your ideas up, we might have got a performance from them tomorrow.

Another excuse for Lambert when we lose, though.

We also do not know what Covid preparations that hotel had to put in place for the stay yesterday and whether it would be possible to repeat this at very short notice.

Fair enough. Nothing worse than a hard pitch either especially with our injury issues.

Yeah all the staff are sat around waiting like coiled springs for a stranded football team. Not to mention having to take them off furlough and then put them back on it.

Lots of things to have a pop at Lambert, Evans and LO'N about, not being able to get a hotel isn't on what is already a very extensive list.

Yes, and that would have been arranged weeks ago wouldn't it? I doubt the conversation included the hotel stopping open after we'd left 'just in case'

I really don't expect it would have been that difficult to sort if we wanted to. Clearly staff are on a flex furlough and the hotel is ticking over with some use.

And plenty of hotels are still open for use by key workers and people undertaking essential travel. They could have stayed in Premier Inn for £29 and got a Deliveroo for dinner. Job done. Sounds like the option of staying wasn't seriously explored from our end.
