If I worked at the club, I would not take this forum seriously 09:16 - Feb 14 with 5786 viewsxrayspecs

While we all have views on the current situation, the quality of objective discourse here is too often embarrassing.

It is a shame as this used to be a good discussion board.

If PRP had taken my assessments of his tactics seriously we wouldn't be in this mess. The forum was convenient when the club were hoodwinking fans into believe that PL is a blue and that every little thing is gonna be alright

Always a bizarre way of looking at things this.
Supporter forums are just a collection of individuals, none of whom are professional experts. I should bloody hope they aren't taking our "objective discourse" seriously.

It's their job, not ours, to work out how to run the club well, a job they're failing at. If they want to find problems, I'd hope they're looking within themselves, not at us.

I think ME would be silly not to take this board seriously to some degree, it is the largest online collection of Town fans and should be used to gauge the temperature, on things - for example sacking Lambert.

Unfortunately it seems when they do they don’t like what they hear as it doesn’t fit the narrative, even though on the whole it’s pretty representative of how fans feel.

The only Muff in Town.

This is a forum where you will get many wide and varied views. Some good, some moronic and many in between. The club shouldn’t be ‘talking to’ a forum, that’s there for us lot to shoot the sh1t and get anything and everything off our chests. There should be a functioning supporters group for the club to engage with to offer fans an input. Unfortunately, we don’t seem to have that. I don’t know who’s running our official supporters group anymore or even if it is still in existence it is that quiet.

By "talking to us" I meant as fans, not as members of any particular forum, and not some narrower body such as a supporters' club either, but to the people of Ipswich and beyond - if only we had local journalists that they could open up to!

There is no room for alternative views if you support ME or his strategy you get shot down in flames

If you point out that under Lambert it is still possible to get promoted via the playoffs you get called an idiot

What is lacking is a bit of balance and respect for alternative views

Good to see you're doing something about it by starting an informed, reasoned debate with facts to support your statements and opinions and not just fishing for another row then, isn't it?

Presumably the downvote from Mankey Anal is because he's triggered by the mention of facts and informed debate.

Agree with that. The rise of social media’s got a lot to answer for. It gives people their moan of the day and stifles independent bat sh*t craziness. It’s all pretty dull and predictable compared to the early days.

I don't mean to be rude, but looking at the upvotes for this post, it seems most of them are in agreement with the OP too.

So if these posters have been taking that much notice of the board to criticise, how come they don't realise they're upvoting a budgie troll?

Genuinely interested: do you honestly believe that it is still possible for Lambert to get us promoted?

I am all for balance and respect for views but what sort of win percentage do you think it would take for us to get promoted and what about Lambert's management of the club suggest that our current win percentage of 33% over 6 games, 40% over 10 games or 40% over 20 games is suddenly going to get to that required?

I cannot understand how anyone can watch our performances and believe that sort of upward trajectory is possible without a dramatic change in tactics.

Of course there is room for people to hold the opinion it is possible. I just cannot understand how it can stand up to reason and logic.

Our management team seems to think it was unlucky that we lost to Peterborough so I set up a poll to see if the view was shared by fans on here. It is anonymous. Only 1 voter agreed. 26 disagree. Our management team do not understand how to win football matches.
