Paul Cook assistant manager 12:28 - Feb 17 with 609 viewstractordownsouth

I doubt he'll be our manager anyway and think he'll likely end up at Bristol City, but thought it was worth noting that his assistant manager Leam Richardson (who worked with him at Accrington, Portsmouth and Wigan) is now managing Wigan.

Perhaps there's a chance he'd want to reunite with Cook, but it's hard to see him giving up the Wigan job to be assistant here, so is there potentially a risk with getting him in that he doesn't have his preferred management team around him? Obviously anything's an upgrade on the dross we have now, but thought it was worth noting anyway.

They are a really strong partnership. Wigan are still a club in a right mess, if we were lucky enough to get Cook here (I think he's the best option) I'm sure Richardson would come with him.

He's just getting the experience in at Wigan whilst Cook is out of work and it's a cheap option for Wigan.
