Ten to 1 tonight Alan McGee and Shaun Ryder have got a programme on BBC4 that will be right up your street if your in a nostalgic mood for that era. All Hooky's books are brilliant, the Hacienda one and the JD/NO ones.

I'll get the future ex wife to tape it.
I'm gonna watch Control again after my next glass of prison grade red.

That's a brilliant film, I love 24 Hour Party People. Steve Coogan is brilliant in that as Tony Wilson, I think it was Hooky who said it was the biggest tw@t in Manchester played by the second biggest tw@t.

I watched 24 Hour Party People again last night. Brilliant stuff.
I think Hooky loved Wilson really.
RKD and my daughter took me to Manchester for our cup game with them for my birthday (5 years ago??) and we were staying near what was the Hacienda - I confess I never went to the Hacienda as the Mrs kept monstering up about my father duties. Dalai used to pop up now and again. One of my big regrets but in hindsight I would probably have been shot as the token pain in the arse cockney.
Found this recently which was quite an iconic Specials gig as it wasn't infiltrated by the NF as much as the other gigs on that tour - with Coventry being a catalyst.

I'm in my thirties, so I can't claim much on the reminiscing part just yet. But I have listened to a fair bit of music from "before my time" and I think what I like most is music that isn't written for the radio. The good prog-rock songs that regularly went on over 10mins.
I'm listening to this album at the moment. Not one to listen to if you like the radio format. 10 years since it came out.

You actually don't remember me do you!
You were a couple of years older than me although you went to the dunce school, you were best mates with Quelchy. We didn't really knock about at all but I remember you from him. I do remember we travelled to a game together once.
You were a cocky fecker with quite a flab problem for your age!

Still a cocky fecker with no flab problem at present. You're a vague memory now chap, over 60,s memory and all that. Heard from Quelchy a month or so back, he's doing fine.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.
