Tommy Tank ahoy!
Speaking of can...heard this for the first time last night. It was on a Andrew weatherall mix I was streaming. It’ll use up a dozen minutes of your life but it’s the fcking business

I watched 24 Hour Party People again last night. Brilliant stuff.
I think Hooky loved Wilson really.
RKD and my daughter took me to Manchester for our cup game with them for my birthday (5 years ago??) and we were staying near what was the Hacienda - I confess I never went to the Hacienda as the Mrs kept monstering up about my father duties. Dalai used to pop up now and again. One of my big regrets but in hindsight I would probably have been shot as the token pain in the arse cockney.
Found this recently which was quite an iconic Specials gig as it wasn't infiltrated by the NF as much as the other gigs on that tour - with Coventry being a catalyst.

You must have seen this then. Classic.
One of the most memorable performances on UK TV. The Jam were on the same bill and that's who the mods in the crowd who didn't seem overly enthused, were waiting for!

Anyone posting a Julian Cope song should get a million uppies, and downers, maybe some Bennies, tabs and anything else JC took during his wilderness years.....
You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....

Another brilliant Coventry band, love to have seen Dexy's live in their Northern Soul period
I saw Dexy's in 1982, one of my first concerts. I was mad about that first album as a 15 year old and desperate to see them. At the time I thought I'd found 'my band', then I never really liked anything else they did aside from the odd track here and there.
Want to add this too
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
