So, James Wilson reckons we're in 'a really good place' 10:30 - Feb 21 with 684 viewsDublinBlue84

Also apparently a point is a point and is something to build on (but we never do) and anyone can beat anyone in this league on their day (even though we know that it's not true, look at our record against those in the top 6!)

The acceptance of mediocrity at our club, from stating that a team in 12th in the third tier are in a really good place, to 0-0 draws against Oxford and Northampton giving a manager a stay of execution, in a league where Accrington Stanley and Plymouth are above us, is sad indictment of why we are where we are.

Whilst the likes of far better run clubs like Accrington are far smaller, with far worse facilities, stadium and far less money than us, they have something we don't. They work with their fans, not against them, they extract every bit of potential out of their limited resources and are shrewd with their use of limited finances.

But right here, we have far more resources, far bigger squad and far better facilities and reputation and standing in the game than the vast, vast majority of clubs in this league, but time and time again we don't make them count, we accept second best, we are far too easily pleased and for far too long we have stood by and watched our club underachieve.

It's just as well the salary cap doesn't come in. Can you imagine how tough that would be for us? We'd be even lower in the table, even with the financial advantages we have and the bigger squad and higher wage bill, we're a mid-table side, and still the far smaller clubs are able to outperform us despite the odds stacked in our favour. Can you imagine how bad it would be if these far better run clubs were on more of an equal footing.

The period of this club being owned by Evans will be characterised by a period of gross underachievement, where our standards slipped and we just watched our club trundle along and gradually become also rans in the Championship, eventually falling out of the Championship, then falling into League One where we're in danger of also becoming also rans because Evans literally is standing idly by and letting that happen.

Lambert's a terrible manager and should have gone ages ago, but the enabler of this situation is only one man and that is Evans. The fact he hasn't acted and given Lambert his P45 just yet is going to write off yet another season and the leadership of the club is ultimately the cause of that.

Of course he is, lower league journeymen squad filler who can't believe he is at a club the size of ours. Only due to how poor we are, is he here in the first place.

He will be loving it as this is the peak of his career. Once he gets released he will end up in L2/conference or retired.

Wilson is just being a good little boy and saying what daddy’s telling him. Nothing more than that.

James Wilson was born in 1989. 12th in League One is the worst place this club has been in during his entire existence on Earth.
