If Lambert gets binned off Wednesday 21:27 - Feb 22 with 5052 views | Cheltenham_Blue | And Dyer and Butch take charge, ‘Until the end of the season’ there’s definitely a take ove happening, likewise if we lose and he doesn’t get binned. If however, he goes and we appoint a permanent manager then nothing is doing. The next two weeks could be very interesting.

Maybe there is a contract termination if we blow it this season. I mean Evans would have thought of that - wouldn't he ??

Well, there's clearly clauses, and no doubt they will entail things along the lines of finishing inside the top 6 as part of any further year etc.

If Lambert gets binned off Wednesday on 23:40 - Feb 22 by ArnieM | I live near this part of the town ( sadly not near enough !) if he kept the area across the road from the main training area and sold that land I’d estimate developers could get 20-30 houses on it . In that area of town they’d sell for upwards of £700k , so I guess the land would sell for a lot of money |
That's not really how it work, there would need to be a load of affordable housing in there for a start - but realistically a plot like that would be £3-4m. There was a huge blot of The Street Rushmere where they were putting 25 houses and 20 retiurement places on there recently with GDV of £17-£18m and you could have got it for that. It's less than 50% of what the club will cost Evans just this season

Is that where those two cottages have burnt down?

If Lambert gets binned off Wednesday on 21:32 - Feb 22 by Cheltenham_Blue | I think the assumption is it’s probably too early for Dyer and could ruin any chance of a career, so put Butch alongside instead of throwing him under the bus. |
The stuff about ruining Dyer's career is strange really. He's currently 42 - it's already late for him as an ex-pro to be starting his managerial career. Steve Gerrard is 40 and has been in post for 3 years. Ipswich is his home town club, it's at its lowest ebb and he already coaches the U23s here. Realistically if he doesn't get a shot at this job, what's his other career move? Wait 2-3 years to get another shot at it? Look lower down the league? I don't see that as any easier really. It might not be a good appointment for us, but for KD it's his big break. [Post edited 23 Feb 2021 10:48]

Yep, that's it for me - he's committed himself to this job, if he fails then he fails.....but if he goes elsewhere he'll either fail, or succeed and the stars will never align

If Lambert gets binned off Wednesday on 09:46 - Feb 23 with 370 views | Herbivore | There are numerous other possibilities than the ones you consider in your OP. For example, we lose and Lambert doesn't get sacked because we're still not THAT far off the play offs points wise and Evans is very reluctant to act. We've seen it with him before. Not acting isn't proof of a takeover, not even close. Similarly, sacking Lambert and putting someone in caretaker charge might well just be about ME buying himself some more time if he can't find the right manager now for some reason.
