So on Saturday someone Tweeted this, saying an American consortium was looking to buy us, employing a championship CEO. Looked like just another rumour at the time, but something to be exited about.
Following that, news emerges from Bristol which suggests the consortium wants Mark Ashton, current CEO of Bristol City. This is backed up by the fact that he held talks in America in 2019 about a potential deal with a consortium which never went over the line - perhaps they are trying to arrange a similar deal with us.
Finally today, just before the match, someone (somehow) discovered that American businessman and partner in Phoenix Rising football club, Brett Johnson, follows both Ipswich Town and Bristol on Twitter, perhaps providing the much needed connection between the two clubs. He employed Frank Yallop, and therefore perhaps took advice from him on which football club to invest in.
Obviously it’s still early days and there could be nothing to it, but it’s definitely something to be hopeful for in the near future - he progressed Phoenix Rising to the brink of the MLS so there’s no doubt we could go some way with him.

Stop playing to the crowd, Spruce. It's cringeworthy. You know my sun-consciousness thread was lighthearted.
I don't believe scraping into the play-offs is "nearly getting us up." A 25% chance (at best) is not "nearly" for me.
If we'd lost in the final, fair enough. We didn't even win either of our semi-final games.
The crowd? Nice once Paz. I think your calorie deficit is shrinking your brain.

I'm not in a funk. I'm quite the opposite right now.
What is the opposite of a funk? A Morrissey? A James Blunt?

Good for you. There's a lot of good stuff on fasting out there. Hope it works for you.
Cheers. It might not seem it on here, but I feel a lot happier and more upbeat, feel lighter when I'm out for a run or just pottering around the house, and have barely looked at an energy drink... and it's only a week (tomorrow). I've had none of that afternoon slump since starting.
Weighing myself tomorrow for the first proper physical indication of any changes.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

You should definitely see a reasonable loss. Some water weight from reducing stored glycogen as well as some actual fat.
Are you tracking anything like how much protein you're taking in?

I wouldn't say I'm tracking it as such, but we're following the recipes strictly and sticking to the meateaters version rather than the meatfree side, so should be getting enough.

Good stuff, let us know how you get on. Good luck.
Update: Brett likes a Tweet of us scoring a goal (as another poster has just said).
On the surface this sounds like absolute rubbish, but when you look into it he’s only just developed an interest for us in the last month or so - I doubt he would decide to start supporting us when we’re in league 1 and given he partially owns various clubs it wouldn’t be wild to assume he has some interest in investment.
Also, to back this up he has spoken about investing in an English club quite recently in a podcast here. Surely putting all this together people can’t still say this is all a load of rubbish? (He also follows us on LinkdIn, FYI).

So we're now claiming that someone liking a video of a goal on twitter is proof they are buying the club? Blimey.

I think you're being unnecessarily obtuse on this one. Look at all the bits and pieces that are coming together. Particularly the new UK company founded last summer. It's all too much to be a coincidence.
