Just spotted a couple of interesting facts about the semi final 1st leg with Spurs....

Simon Dawkins scored the Spurs goal that night....

And Mark Wright, of TOWIE fame, who has recently signed for Crawley, was the Spurs left back that night...!

Remember talking to Mark Wright about that when he was at Heybridge, he looked he could be a decent player there and then left to go off into the jungle

He's a genuinely nice guy.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

He always comes across well in limited things I've seen or heard him on - never watched TOWIE so couldn't say on that side

I wasn't really aware of him when he came to Heybridge, and even now I think the only time I can recall watching him on TV was when he did Who Do You Think You Are.

I think he may have captained that Spurs team as well?

Same, I've met him a couple of times and he's always come across as a really decent chap.

MW done a piece on bbc sport, probably still on there, where he speaks of his time at spurs, and when it went downhill for him.

...against Egypt at Italia 90.

Although I still think it was an OG.

Think he always had a lot of ability and potential but just struggled with confidence as young player.
