Just out of curiosity what part of representation in U.K. Parliament is sub standard? As far as I’m aware Scottish seat representation of 47 seats for 7% of the U.K. population is about right. Scotland has its own devolved administration now. When Scotland returns to the EU, it will amount to 1% of the population so will presumably have 1% representation.
As I say, I’m just curious - it’s up to the Scots what they do. It’s their business. |
All of it is sub-par. Scotland is well enough “represented” within that context but it’s not fit for purpose as a modern democracy. When the majority of votes don’t count letting minority parties have majority rule then the country never gets what it’s voting for. |  |

52/48* and falling as each week goes by. In November/December it was a 14-12 point lead for Yes. The last two polls have been a 2 and 4 point lead.
*I recall that 52/48 is considered close enough that it should be put back for a second referendum. [Post edited 25 Feb 2021 17:43]

Important also to note that the independence campaign in 2014 gained votes as the campaign went on. And of course, this time the Unionist campaign will have what exactly to say/lie about? They shot their wad on platitudes and meaningless promises last time, while the situation for the UK as a whole has got even worse after Brexit, Johnson and Starmer.

I think the Scottish Parliament is actually an excellent model for PR and local representation. Westminster on the other hand is a very bad joke – it’s “democracy” that can be controlled from above, so not a democracy in any real sense at all. | |
