Time to shine, doesn’t have to buy the whole club & just the kind of person this group would be after. High profile, linked to the club, got money.

Assuming they want extra investment. They might think they have enough and not want to split any potential profit with others.

Very true - skim read the EADT bit and think they’ve got similar history with their soccer league team.

Something like that would make more sense for a wealthy local person who would want to make a difference without risking losing everything they have worked for.

Sheeran would not be in a position to buy, or perhaps even match the cash possibly required to throw in, if anything goes wrong in the future.

I was wondering earlier if he may have done us a massive favour in making the Americans aware of us? Certainly i would imagine they would think it could make them a much more marketable business having one of the biggest musicians on the planet supporting a little known club.
On a similar subject i'm sure its been mentioned by someone else but assuming there could be a Prime documentary in the back of their minds?

More than I like Ed Sheeran.

Actually, I went to the final Olympic Games opening ceremony dress rehearsal in 2012 and there was this ginger bloke doing warm up stuff with his guitar. Oh gawd, thought I, but after he was was done we decided he was really good, even if the music wasn’t my cup of tea. It was Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran is rich, but he hasn't the sort of money to put into a football club.
