Cambridge Utd next season? 23:03 - Feb 27 with 1509 viewsCBBlue

Turned on Quest a few minutes too late to see the Ipswich highlights but did see L2 with Cambridge Utd sitting top. If we don't get promotion then it looks like this local derby could back for next season. I remember back in the 90s going to a few derbies in what must've been the old division one, managed by John Beck if I recall with a well-earned reputation for being dirty and long ball specialists.

They look a bit different now and googling their manager I found it interesting he's a young manager who isn't an ex-player https://www.theguardian.com/football/football-league-blog/2021/feb/04/homegrown- (apologies for the ex-nodge mentioned too).

It is a great story, and goes to show that being a player isn't the be all and end all. The big challenge for him is when he's in a position to do transfers - I hope CUFC have an advisor on hand as I could see agents taking him for a ride.

Haha fckng hell, for a relatively small club they had a bloody hard and mental crew.

Most of them are around 60 now, though, and no young’uns to take over, so victory will be ours on the pitch and on the streets.

Beat us home and away the season we won the league 92/93 stuffed 5-0 in the play offs by Leicester.

Didn't Mick Heathcote score with a foul on forest?

No, it was a 1-1 draw away and we only conceded because of a blatant refusal to see a foul on Forrest.

I remember that because after the goal was given some chucked some batteries at the ref, still remember his name Keren Barratt. The Abbey was a right old sh!thole.

That lot have dined out on all that for years, it's like nothing else ever happened in their history ever.
