Dozzell starting to look a real player 09:37 - Feb 28 with 2291 views | Dubtractor | I'm not surprised to see Dozzell being linked to championship clubs recently, for me he is looking a more complete player with each passing week. He is so comfortable on the ball, and makes passing look easy, but he is looking a more mobile player recently with the confidence to run with the ball and drive forward. Added to that he seems more than willing to get stuck into tackles, which counters a common criticism of him. It has been a long way back from that injury, but he's starting to look like the player we hoped he could be. This time last year Downes was the player we feared would be leaving in the Summer, but its Dozzell that I worry about losing now, especially if we end up stuck in this division.

Others (me included) always thought he just needed a run of games. You're never going to improve having stop-start involvement here and there.

Dozzell starting to look a real player on 09:43 - Feb 28 with 2177 views | BseaBlue | Absolutely. Since he has played with Bish he seems to have had the leash removed. Having both midfielders with the ability to drive forwards has really helped change our play. It's been an excellent partnership so far. In my opinion, one of the first things I would like the new owners to do is get Bishop tied down to a new deal. Yes he has had his issues with injury but when he is firing he is the best midfielder in this division. These two (and Downes if he sticks around) should have the team built around them.
Dozzell starting to look a real player on 09:44 - Feb 28 with 2167 views | Herbivore | The fact he's now being trusted to play in a midfield two alongside Bishop speaks volumes for how much he's developed. He's always had great technical ability and vision, now he's getting more and more to grips with the physical side of the game.

Young players need careful development and nurturing and just because they don't immediately live up to that initial promise they are written off by many in the fanbase. The lad is doing well with a vision that you can't buy and, to add to that, Kenlock is showing encouraging signs.

Quite frankly, the only positive that I've been able to take over the last three seasons has been the young guns and watching them develop.

Yeah, I've been hugely surprised by Kenlock. I feel he has had the chances and a decent run... but all of a sudden he's started realising that early promise. Not sure why, but great to see. I, for one, admit I'd written him off.

Will be interesting to see how Dobra, El Miz and Nydam get on next season. Hopefully Nydam can recapture his pre-injury promise, and the same for Jack Lankester.

I'm another that had written Kenlock off, but we look a much better team with him back in it.

We had that thread about Josh Emmanuel the other week and how he's doing well and we shouldn't have let him go. You could see there was a player in him but it takes time. Saying that, in a results driven business, is it sometimes better for both parties that this continues elsewhere ?

I'm a big fan of Dobra. Watched him for the Under 23s against Brightlingsea a couple of years ago and he was a class above anyone else. His movement and eye for a pass really stuck out. With the right nurturing he really could be the next big thing for us. I see Joe says that Paul Cook likes playing with a 10........

In fairness Kenlock hasn't been good enough over the past couple of years at a time when you'd really expect him to be pushing on and looking to nail down a place in the team. Even earlier in the season when he played a couple of games he looked well off it. This time he's been much improved, but he needs to sustain that now over a longer run of games and try to make that spot his own. Hopefully he can, we all want to see our youngsters progressing and playing regularly for Town.

Must be Lambert's brilliant coaching that's developed him

Dozzell starting to look a real player on 10:37 - Feb 28 with 1908 views | Bluefish | Said it so many times that it was incredible to struggle with the likes of Downes, Dozzell and Bishop. Would all walk into most championship sides. Even the list below them Nolan, Judge etc would walk into every league 1 side

But also shows what we miss without Bish.

Very true. Some talk about Bish as though he's a number 10 but he really isn't, he's a box to box midfielder who has the ability to beat players. When he first broke into the side for a good chunk of that season he played in a two with Skuse and was able to hold his own in the Championship as an 18 year old. Setting aside his injuries, he's a proper athlete that gets up and down well and he's not shy of a tackle either.

That’s very true. I’ve been saying all season that a midfield two of Dozzell and Bishop would be too lightweight but Dozzell’s improvements have counteracted that to a degree. Saying that, we did lose midfield for large parts of the game yesterday.

Though I note Josh is no longer a first choice starter at Hull. Has been on the bench 9 of the last 11 games.
