Stand out games for Lambert... 12:07 - Mar 1 with 1828 views | SitfcB | From a fans in attendance point of view, Mick obviously had loads, Hurst had Swansea... Can’t think of many to be honest, particularly at home, Leeds the last day of the season maybe? And Fleetwood away, that’s about it. [EDIT: Not sure how I could forget Tranmere away, that’s definitely top of my list of favourites] [Post edited 1 Mar 2021 12:26]

Stand out games for Lambert... on 13:35 - Mar 1 with 358 views | unstableblue | Lambert never had enough, or there were gaps in between, certainly there were doubts during the runs of decent form at the start of the two L1 seasons. But yes there were good games and gave some hope - as Joe interestingly said when he first came in players were impressed by his coaching, and the German pre-season seemed really well run. But then it seems he completely lost his mind His failed Championship survival season the Reading and West Brom away games stood out and the Leeds home game (although they were already celebrating), with some passing of merit Shrews, Tranmere, Accrington and Burton home wins, plus Tranmere/Southend away were wins of real merit - some of the KVY led displays were some of the best we'd seen at PR for some years - the Downes flying header was outstanding. But all against lower level teams. Blackpool home and away this season showed some great football... and actually the Sunderland away loss highlighted some of the midfield triangle potential. Hull away recently was different but bullying and effective... but lets hope that was Gill. So it wasn't all bad... but above is a handful of games, and there were just way too many ineffective performances, and most importantly we lacked ideas in the final phase and with such an enviable squad, which kept getting funded right till the end!

Stand out games for Lambert... on 13:23 - Mar 1 by BluedanW | MK dons away and Southend away. It pretty much went downhill after that Halloween game. I won the bus stop in the Southend social club before kick off as well, that made it special too lol. |
I'd forgotten MK Dons away it was a dominant display and the away end was rocking

Stand out games for Lambert... on 12:16 - Mar 1 by Churchman | Hammering Blackpool away this season. Thumping anyone is a jewel amongst the dross of scraping results here and there season after season. I thought at that point PL might be on to developing a proper team. But no, we were sonny back to the usual mediocre efforts. The Leeds game was fun, but there was nothing in it for them so it wasn’t really a full on competitive game. |
Yeah, I was going to suggest Leeds, but that is a good point

Stand out games for Lambert... on 12:20 - Mar 1 by Guthrum | Oxford away in the pouring rain was quite something, if not for the actual football. |
Forgotten that one... what a memorable night... a stand missing so unprotected from the squals And although it wasn't pretty it had some of the bullying and energy recently displayed at Hull

They were all over us 2nd half. I never got the praise over that performance. We looked after the ball well in the 1st half but didn't look like creating much.
