Best away trip of this century..... on 20:47 - Mar 1 by ArnieM | Town vs WBA in FA Cup semi final. That bloody clock ( Highbury clock end), just would move !!! And Seeing Mick Mills going down on his knees in prayer when we got the goal that meant we were off to Wembley. |
with you on this one. Or Millwall away But technically not this century.
Best away trip of this century..... on 10:54 - Mar 2 with 267 views | Bobbychase | Best away trip of my life, apart from a couple of wins at Carrow Road. Overdid it in Harry's Bar the night before the game. Went on a walk along the harbourfront to clear my head. Bumped into Sheepshanks, who realised I was a Town fan and wanted to talk about the season etc. Had to concentrate VERY hard not to throw up on his shoes.

WBA semi probably my favourie. Again not this century, but do any of you fellow oldies remember away trips in the promotion season 1967-68? Some great memories, i suppose because i was just 17 and did things that would be embarassing later in life. Portsmouth away when we clinched promtion comes to mind. Spending the evening going from pub to funfair in Southsea, trying to evade pompey fans. Used to travel on a coach organised by someone from Stowmarket (can't remember his name). The 4-3 win at Carrow Road, after being 2-0 down, took some beating.
