Current Stanley player co-commentating on his teammates booking for simulation, “yeah that was a dive, he does that all the time in training”. Very refreshing!

Local commentary should be a bit biased. They have an audience to satisfy. You can keep your nuetral commentary for national media.

There is a balance between showing a desire for the home team to win and calling this as they are.

He kept making out that the referee was giving them nothing - claiming the red card was wrong and then each time their players went down he was making out it was an elbow when it clearly wasn't.

Aside from that, though, they were very good. They knew the Town players which is an improvement from many others and is something Brenner does very well with opposition players.

I did feel a little sorry for Accrington. If they had kept 11 men or even not lost their keeper, I think they would have got at least a point. That said, they had poor finishing from Norwood to thank and I thought it might have been a second penalty when their keeper did hurt himself (although only saw it once). I would imagine they are going to struggle to cover for injuries and suspensions.

Have to disagree. I think the commentary from Radio Suffolk is very good.

Agreed, I think Radio Suffolk do a good job. Tonight’s commentator was fine, don’t get me wrong, but the co commentator was dreadful. Zero insight at all and could barely string a sentence together.

Radio Suffolk do get a lot of criticism - but having listened to a lot of opposition commentary I think that they do a very good job.

Mick Mills, admittedly does come across as a tad grumpy but he sure does know his stuff. Strange that his managerial career wasn’t great as he does seem to be one step ahead of most managers.

I disagree. Commentary should simply be an accurate description of what you would see if you were sitting in the stand. If you have a mind to, you can put your own bias on events.

Well there's a thing! Unlike you to come out with something like this. Is Brenner a leftie then?

My thoughts were it was a penalty possibly to us when the keeper got injured. Be good to see that back again.

As for commentary the alleged elbow comments annoyed me and the main commentator sounded like he was commentating on the grand national as was 100 mph. But the content was decent and critical of both teams and the ref at times.

I don’t know, maybe. I just think the other teams commentary teams sound so much more enthusiastic and actually sound like they’re enjoying it whereas ours make it sound like a chore. To be fair to Brenner Mills is the main culprit of that.

Was it though as there was no way he could get the ball as too far away when he made the tackle.

hearing the away commentaries has generally been one of the highlights of this season to date (obviously that all changes for the better now).

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

No way the defender isn't attempting to play the ball there and if it was the other way round we'd be absolutely howling about it.

Attempting to play a ball he had no chance of winning as was too far away for it to be physically possible.

Red all day long.

Sorry to have missed that. Was listening at the beginning and they sounded very good. But for some reason on my iPad I couldn’t listen to them and then shut the audio settings tab which was blocking a third of the action.

Had to make do without commentary. And like last time I ended up wondering why on earth a dozen or more people are shouting non-stop from the sidelines at professional, trained sportsmen. Surely it just becomes meaningless to them?

Paul Cook has a great set of lungs though. When he was shouting at the officials they’d have heard every word.

The ball is well within range of his tackle when he starts making it, Parrott nicks it away from him as he's halfway through his lunge.
