“Let’s not blame Cook” 15:01 - Mar 6 with 4074 viewspointofblue

At the very least he should have installed fight, passion, desire and heart - all of that was worryingly missing.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

No way should Cook be getting any pressure but there's nothing wrong with saying there was nothing positive about Cooks own performance so far.

Yes, this. By no means am I saying he should be sacked or under pressure or anything like that - just that one simple thing a new manager should be able to implement is bite and passion, fighting for the ball.

Nonsense. He came in Thursday FFS. What do you expect in 2 days?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Even immediately after half time there was nothing, normally you’d see a reaction of some kind but our players off course not!!

You won't get much different Tuesday night either. Between now and then he'll maybe have time for one light training session!

After that performance and the way our players have flattered to deceive , it should be extra train8ng tomo... give Cook to work on tactics shape , the basics of what he expects , they can have the afternoons off ...
Read them the riot act..it was absolute c r a p

Some sort of ability to inspire a little bit of motivation and energy. Maybe even just for 15 minutes after half time. Or something. Or a tactical switch to show he identified a weakness in the opposition. Just something, really.

Far too early to tell but its the same shouting down posters like you done when I pointed out Lamberts poor start. You think you'd learn.

You're utterly clueless and have proved it time and again. Managers need time to get their ideas across. And I'm not shouting anyone down, I'm just disagreeing with you. Deal with it.

Cook's been with the players for 2 days. TWO DAYS FFS!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

And that’s why I said I fully understand why tactically we might look a bit off but not in terms of drive, passion and commitment.

Those players shouldnt need drive or passion. They are professional footballers earning a damn good wage.

They should be going on that pitch to give it everything they have. Today they didnt!

These are Lamberts players. Need a good clear out whether we get promoted or not.

Far too many taking a decent wage and giving nothing in return!

I'm utterly clueless.

I told you Lambert was trash from the start.

You refused to accept. You told me then I didn't have a clue. I was proven comprehensively right whilst you looked like a blithering idiot. Yet you have the ego to try this rubbish with me again.

I've not judged Cook overall. I've judged him on his only performance for us so far.

Anyone who slates ANY manager from the start is an idiot. I presume you're a youngster if you're that impatient. You could've slagged off every Ipswich manager of the last 13 years from the start and you'd be "proven right" 90% of the time.

I'll leave it there. You're clearly not bright enough to understand so I'm wasting my time again.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Its funny how you try and play the intelligence card yet 90% of this forum realise you've got very little of it yourself.

I get it. Lambert said some nice things and bought you some beers and you fell for it. A little childish but understandable. For someone who likes to make out they're a cut above on the intelligence scale its sad youre unable to look at things objectively and remove your emotions from the equation.

Maybe you'll grow up a bit eventually and learn to be able to do it?

It's entirely Lambert's players.

Well to be accurate it’s entirely Lambert’s players bar 5 of the starters and the 4 subs

I get the argument that maybe we tactics need time to bed in etc but the lack of effort, fight and passion is surely a concern? And that should surely be driven by the manager, or should be something a manager can easily install at even short notice?

The lack of intensity in our play is always a big concern. And yes surely a manager can instill that from the off, it just tells you there are bigger issues at play.

'he should have installed fight, passion, desire and heart'

You and few others would still have been clapping them today after the game if the grounds weren't closed.

Could be that some of the wastes of space that masquerade as ITFC squad players might fear they are going to be found out very soon.
