Being a Semi-Pro GK myself, I analyse every GK performances and I have to say Holy is awful. This may take a few of you by surprise but let me tell you why:
- For his size, he does not command his area at all and often looks scared
- Cannot move his feet
- Reactions are extremely slow
- Bang average shot stopper
- Bad distribution
- Poor decision maker
- Doesn’t talk
- Loses his head once he makes a mistake
The thing is I don’t think Cornell can is much better either.

Holy is ample for league 1.
There aren't many better and if there are they soon wont be playing league 1 football. |  |

Hes gotta go. Even as a backup he is a liability even for league 1 imo. Just a scary goalkeeper to play in front of. | |

I agree. Can't be any worse than the current lot. In fact stick him up front and see if he can do what the current crew, bar Norwood, can't. |  |

He didn’t. He said Holy is “very poor”, which is palpably nonsense.
He is more than passable for League 1. Yes he can be frustrating given his natural attributes and yes he has got an occasional brainstorm in him.....but his record speaks for itself.
Let’s worry where we find a Championship goalkeeper when we need to worry about playing in the Championship. |  | | |

Too often caught on his heels, flat footed. 1st goal and shot that hit post prime examples. The free kick goal at Posh another one. He does catch some balls but nowhere near dominant enough in his 6 yard box for his size. Not a top keeper at this level, nowhere near. Cornell no better tbh. |  |

Semi-pro goalkeeper or not, I couldn't get past the first two in your list. Absolute nonsense he doesn't command his area and looks scared. Just going on yesterday he was punching everything away above people's heads when not catching. Same re cannot move his feet - he was virtually a sweeper yesterday.
I'd argue he was our best player yesterday, despite the goals conceded. He was coming out and moping up for the defence and midfield time and time again. |  |

When you talk to people that are at the games they say it is only Chambers and Holy that you can hear, so not sure how you can say he doesn't talk.
Also loses head after a mistake can you provide an example?
If all the points you make were true he would not be playing at this level, has he made a couple of errors yes but don't all goalkeepers we need to keep faith a limit the changes | |
