Nsiala and Bennetts 21:07 - Mar 9 with 9970 viewsKeaneish

Two players we do not need. Nsiala has many critics and I’m one. He’s that bad that Appleton let him have the ball all night because he knew he’d give it back, slow the play down or make a mistake because he can’t make quick decisions or pass accurately with any intent.

We can praise his no nonsense defending but he’s an exceptionally poor footballer. Wilson has improved in my opinion and is earning his shirt. Night and day from Nsiala and this game showed it. Last 20 Wilson is carrying the ball looking to make things happen, Nsiala is playing walking football or dithering with poor touches and nearly throwing the game. It won’t be long before he’s replaced.

Bennetts. Terrible. End of.

Toto is awful. Probably an OK 3rd tier 2 touch player - gets it & then lumps it forwards. Otherwise, he dwells on the ball forever & then hits an aimless long pass.

Toto was good today - one blip aside.

Toto's fine as a stopper, but it was obvious how he was targeted. Playing out from the back with Toto is asking for trouble (although he was given a right hospital pass by Judge - you know he's not good under pressure, so why put him under pressure?).

I’ve been no fan of his but I actually thought it was one of better games for us. Other than the obvious mistake I thought he was fairly dominant and got in a couple of very good blocks.

Indeed, you have to decide how you want your team to play & if you want to play it out from the back, your midfield players need to make themselves available & in positions where they can turn & start an attack. Dozzell was very poor tonight, but whether that's down to him or how the team is set up, I don't know.

Agree it was a woeful ball but look at Toto’s body shape trying to take the ball out of the air, it was hideous and amateurish. As soon as that ball popped out to him they threw two men on him because they knew he’s terrible under pressure and he absolutely sh*t himself. We can’t carry players like that if we want to go up. He’s not an option any more for me. Wolfenden or Chambers as soon as possible.

Nsiala saved us a point today in 90 min by his block after Chambers had been beaten like a schoolboy by their player.

And? That’s his job. He almost have them three points too.

To be fair our players no Nsiala isn't too comfortable on the ball, so why loop one back in the air to him?

Nsiala played very well indeed. The power and ability to shepherd quick athletic players without raising a sweat is really important.

We need to work, tactically, on how we move forward which should come with time. That does not mean he is the problem.

That's his job. This applies to all our defenders not only him.

He is much better than Woolfenden though.

Toto is an old fashioned lower league stopper. Nothing wrong with having a player like that, but don't keep trying to pass it out from the back if he's going to be playing.

Not all the time, has a pass in him on occasion.

Personally I think Nsiala is better than Woolfenden at the moment,

Shepherding strikers is a fraction of what he should be doing. He’s does that well but so much of his game is really poor.

How often does Dozzell pick it up off a defender only to return it to them and then spend 3-4 passes back and forth going nowhere?

As much as Nsiala has a mistake in him and panics under pressure too easily, he also has played a number of superb balls forward. There was another one tonight that didn't quite end up with someone through behind their defence.

Funny how whenever Wilson got the ball, Hopper closed him down immediately, but when Toto got it, they let him have it as much as he liked.

Toto made one big mistake tonight, but it wasn't even entirely his fault - he was on the end of a really poor back pass.

To be fair if we played football more so in the opposition’s half a bit more ,Toto’s inability at times wouldn’t be such an issue. He should be left to defend like an old fashioned type defender because that’s what he’s best at. If we were scoring more and playing football further up the field it wouldn’t be an issue.

For hag it’s worth we’ve had worse performers that Toto this season ...a lot worse

Yes, Toto can put his body on the line and can win headers but in truth he is poor. If Wolfenden can’t get in ahead of him, he is maybe not as good as we all thought

It still beggars belief that Toto and Nolan cost £2m. Imagine a competent Manager in League one having £2m to spend.... we got Toto as part of that package

Just a vague assertion.

In what way poor? Won headers. Won tackles. Won physical battles. Was not beaten at any point. One dodgy moment under a bad pass. That's it.

Agree and the blip was caused by a terrible lofted pass from Judge
