Nsiala and Bennetts 21:07 - Mar 9 with 9967 viewsKeaneish

Two players we do not need. Nsiala has many critics and I’m one. He’s that bad that Appleton let him have the ball all night because he knew he’d give it back, slow the play down or make a mistake because he can’t make quick decisions or pass accurately with any intent.

We can praise his no nonsense defending but he’s an exceptionally poor footballer. Wilson has improved in my opinion and is earning his shirt. Night and day from Nsiala and this game showed it. Last 20 Wilson is carrying the ball looking to make things happen, Nsiala is playing walking football or dithering with poor touches and nearly throwing the game. It won’t be long before he’s replaced.

Bennetts. Terrible. End of.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but two members of my family have played minutes in the top flight in the Prem era, both still work in football at different top flight clubs.

I wouldn't give you a fig for the opinion of either of them in terms of team shape or player ability so I'm not sure playing league football adds too much weight to your argument.

Why not? It’s an opinion rooted in professional experience. At every level of the game there’s always a lot to learn whether you’re stepping up from Sunday League to Saturday District football or from Premier League to International. Plenty of experienced heads have said, ‘you never stop learning the game’. Personally, I’d always listen to others who have played higher as they have knowledge to hand down. Jayesss here doesn’t see it that way but we’re 3 or 4 pages into a thread and there’s not much of substance coming back...

I’d be happy to put a wager on that Nsiala won’t be in our starting line-up when the season starts again. Firstly we can’t accommodate playing two stoppers together in my opinion, it doesn’t work. We hate it when we play two holding midfielders together. It works as a stop gap, sure but it’s not a long term solution and the way Appleton treated Nsiala the other night will have given Cook plenty to be concerned about.

You've gone from saying Nsiala is garbage to now saying we can't play two stoppers

It's either the system you're hung up on or the individual

Just read the thread and I'm a little lost sorry

For what it's worth I think Nsiala has been better than both Woolfy and McG since he's come back in the side alongside Wilson

And what’s wrong with that? They’re not mutually exclusive.

Cook is talking about partnerships, players that compliment each other. Playing two stoppers isn’t ideal. If it were a choice, based on the Lincoln game, you’d have to choose Wilson over Nsiala. Wilson has improved a lot in my opinion. Nsiala is too much of a liability.

Sorry but I never said there was "anything wrong that" !!

Simply saying the argument seemed all over the place

I'll get my coat

How is the argument all over the place? Its the same thread of conversation. Nsiala is a stopper, a limited footballer. We’re discussing his limitations and the effect that has on the team. Playing two stoppers is also a limitation that has an effect on the team. Seems pretty coherent and the same subject matter to me.

I haven't the time or the energy to argue

I don't agree with all your points I'm sorry and you should respect that as I do yours . Simple as that and "pretty coherent" as you say

We'll beg to differ on this one as we did Norwood the other day

It's all about opinions
