That awful and I'm sorry for your loss.

The figures are from AZ and were reported on the BBC news.

Once again, sorry for your loss.

Thank you very much for your, and others, kind words but I have to confess to an important mis-type in my original post in that it was my mother-in-law rather than my mum but equally as traumatic for the myself and the family.

In respect of my question though, it's not really clear from that article, or any of the others I've read how they will quantify or associate which deaths may (or may not be) potentially linked with the vaccine. We know that, for example, the government report Covid deaths generally as those who tested positive for Covid within 28 days of death. I wonder weather they will look at correlation of deaths by "other" causes within a specified period of receiving a vaccine or they will only flag it if coroner considers that possibility?

I think it's so material there must be some logic applied or methodical approach but despite some research by me I can't find a published or official approach anywhere.

It’s still mega traumatic for you and your family and the same sentiments apply.

For a happy ignoramus such as myself, I tend to go towards medical related publications such as BMJ first and then just read as widely as I can on it. I am by nature inquisitive but quite suspicious, so find exploring like this gives me at least half a chance of forming a view - even if it’s later proved incorrect. I had to do this sort of research for an hour every morning and summarise on another subject as part of my job a couple of years ago and it’s a habit I cant let go!😱. There are posters on here such as SB who are very well informed on this too and take a balanced view, often with links to articles, on topics such as this and that’s helpful.

In terms of your question I suppose that depends if a direct link can be made. It seems to be recognised that all vaccines can trigger serious illness and worse. That was I believe the major fear around MMR which led to a lot of people refusing their children the vaccine - from what I understand, wrongly. It’s a question of whether the numbers incidents and the reasons justify stopping vaccination. Like MMR, I see no justification in doing that. The big picture is, as the Belgian chap said yesterday, that we are in a race against time.
