Too often lack the right weight, the receiving player is too often stationary, facing the wrong way and happy to knock it backwards. When we don’t have the ball, how much could we do with a Shaun Derry type player to make life difficult for the opposition
The weight and direction of pass has infuriated me for years. Its always aimed at feet it's never in front of them to run on to, they wait for it to reach them so the build up is sooo slow! Surely the 'experts' can review this and identify it. Play it infron of them they have to be positive and take it on / pass forwards.
Our players either don't make themselves available or don't anticipate a pass & look like a bunch of strangers. The team has actually been fairly consistent for the last few games. That impressive opening 20 minutes against Plymouth seems an age away.
