Norwegian researchers say that the AZ vaccine is responsible for blood clots and bleeding. Still very small numbers so will be interesting to see how the government deal with these findings.

I think this article pretty much covers it. The levels of blood clots in the general population are higher than in those who have had the vaccine.

Why is it assumed there is any link between the vaccine (of any type) and the blood clots? My understanding was that clots were arising at a greater rate in the general population, so having the vaccine might in theory be safer.


The Norwegians have found that in some people (must stress this is likely a tiny minority) the spike protein of C19 can cause very bad clotting.

If this is true it could well be the AZ vaccine because it stimulates the production of those spike proteins. Given that though if they are right the other vaccines could theoretically cause the same issue.

They should focus the message more on the spike portion in Covid causing death and serious illness and stop undermining the faith in the vaccines.
