Tbf, I think she was just pointing out that the "dream" of living in the countryside also comes with it's challenges. The lack of buses and taxis is a real pain.
But as my sister said just before I settled in Suffolk - don't be one of those people who moves to the countryside and then moans it is not a city!
This isn't exactly what I would describe as 'countryside' though:
"We’ve seen mobile cocktail vans pull up outside for hen parties and cars thoughtlessly blocking shared driveways."
They have bought into 'posh' Cotswolds and are basically still living among their own kind. Just somewhere else.
With far less money, they could have lived in the actual countryside.
