it's a knock on from our recruitment issues, isn't it? We're pretty active in renewing players who are playing well and have re-sale value, but that hasn't been very many players in the last few years. |  |

I don't think he's ever done anything media-wise. He was Mick's chief scout but co-ordinated all that side of things as I understood it, got the director of football job title as Steve McCall was the chief scout when he came in but moved on the following summer. | | | |

But we’re much improved on the days of Macauley etc.
I would suggest that the reason why we have the current situation is because most of the names haven’t done enough to justify a new contract. I’d rather have this than be forced to employees a lot of these players for the next 2-3 years |  |
