Has there actually been any mention of this guy since his last game for us?

Of all the loan signings, this surely has to be one of the worst we've ever made isn't it? closely followed by Harrop.

Think I saw mention of him being injured. I know, it's a shock...

Under the previous management team, he asked to go back to Barnsley and play in their under 23’s, rather than stay here.

Matheson, Parrott and, to an extent, Bennetts make sense as loans. Harrop, McGuinness and Thomas were completely pointless - Cook’s obsession with the former when he comes on and does nothing is starting to annoy me.

Serious? Attitude and application at this club are pathetic

I'd class Matheson similarly to McGuinness - both players with good prospects but too young and raw to be thrown in the deep end of a full-time League One berth. For all people rave about the former, we've only had one moderately decent match out of him, plus another where he made many mistakes.

Personally, I would only class Parrott as a decent success from the loans, with Bennetts and Thomas having made useful contributions. McGuinness filled a hole in a crisis, but wasn't really ready to do so.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I know I'm guilty of trying to forget most of our games, but what did Thomas do? and when?

Two matches is a bit early to make a judgement on a player and he did well for Rochdale, hence being signed by Wolves. Has Thomas made a decent contribution?

McGuinness filled a hole created by Lambert - he could have used Donacien on the right and moved Chambers across; we wouldn’t have then needed McGuinness.

Came on, looked lively, geed up our attack somewhat. Nothing outstanding, more enthusiasm than technical brilliance, but that's about the same level as Bennetts, who runs well but can't deliver.

I'm not writing Matheson off for good, but I think it's like the Maitland-Niles situation. The latter has turned into a decent player, but simply wasn't ready when he came to us.

Lambert obviously considered Chambers a better right back than Donacien.

I think Matheson was ready - certainly a more viable option attacking wise than Chambers. Yes he struggled against Northampton but everyone did except maybe the centre backs who have barely appeared since.

Chambers over Donacien at right back just shows Lambert’s judgement for what it was; he didn’t rate Donacien from the off to the detriment of the team.

Parrott has been woeful for the most part.
